Ball Marshall Job Description

NJ/NY Gotham FC (“Gotham FC” or “the Club”) is a National Women’s Soccer League (“NWSL”) team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ.

The Role:

Gotham FC is seeking a Ball Marshall that will report to the Operations Manager. The successful candidate will have experience in the operational side of a professional soccer match, particularly as a Ball Marshall, and with the set-up and conversion of a professional sporting venue. They will have an unbridled passion for women’s sports and/or soccer, the ability to work non-traditional hours, and always maintain a professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist Gotham FC equipment team to ensure that training and game balls are prepared and inflated according to National Women’s Soccer League regulations.

· Manage arrival and sign in of Ball Kids fan experience group alongside Gotham FC sales team members.

· Lead training and organization of Ball Kids on Game Day, including organizing Ball Kids around the pitch and monitoring them during game.

· Manage and oversee the game balls during the game.

· Assist with collecting and storing equipment as directed by Operations Manager and Team Equipment Managers

· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Experience working in sport or event management roles.

· Proactive with excellent problem-solving capabilities and ability to complete assigned tasks independently.

· Excellent leadership and people skills.

· Attention to detail and timely completion of tasks and responsibilities.

Capability & Other Characteristics:

· Must be physically able to be on their feet for extended periods of time.

· Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds.

· May be occasionally required to work in inclement weather.

· Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Location:

Based at Gotham FC’s home stadium – Red Bull Arena, which is in Harrison, NJ. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events. Gotham FC requires its associates to live in its market, that is, within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC’s offices, practice facility and Red Bull Arena.

Salary range: $20.00 per hour
