Job Description
- Presentation initiatives and match day BULLevard activations.
- The mascot performer is someone who will serve as a pivotal addition to the New York Red Bulls organization and fan base as the primary performer.
- You are someone who exemplifies our core values through your actions and will be responsible for engaging audiences with your wit and lively personality.
- You will be an entertainer and big supporter on and off the pitch. The schedule for the New York Red Bulls Mascot performer is driven primarily by the MLS season schedule and off-site Field Marketing initiatives.
- You are someone who will be working to assist with events initiated cross-functionally amongst several departments as well around the World of Red Bull. Regular and consistent commitment to events throughout the year is expected.
- The mascot performer will be required to embody the mascot origin story. Adhere to the personality and characteristics behind the mascot.
- You are able to adapt to different environments to provide the best fan experience.
- Participate in all match days, majority of community events and off-site events to increase brand awareness. You love the New York Red Bulls and want everyone to know when you're present!
- Ensure and maintain the mascot suit cleanliness and notify when maintenance is needed. You understand the importance behind the mascot costume requires care and attention-to-detail.
- Maintain the mascot props and equipment.
- Assist in any cross-collaboration amongst departments for off-site events and events within the World of Red Bull. You are someone who can provide the best insight on what works best for the mascot in terms of performance abilities and safety measures.
- The mascot performer must be available for all home matches. The mascot hours are contingent on incoming requests.
Qualifications
Prior professional mascot experience is required.
Outgoing personality with a passion for entertainment within sports.
Breakdancing and / or skateboarding experience is a plus.
Flexibility to work all regular season & playoff match days, days/evenings, and weekends as needed.
Energetic and able to perform various dance styles, skits and techniques.
Ability to perform in various weather-related elements including rain, wind and heat.
Dependable transportation to and from matches and appearances in the Tri-State area.
