Company Description

MLS, have competed in the league since its founding in 1996. The Red Bulls play home matches at Red Bull Arena (RBA) in Harrison, New Jersey. The three-time MLS Supporters' Shield Winners are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull for which the team is named. The New York Red Bulls offer one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, from local soccer partnerships across New York and New Jersey to Regional Development Schools and the Red Bulls Academy teams.


The role of the HR specialist is to proactively work with the Head of HR and HR Business Partner across all areas of HR to ensure efficient and effective support, including relevant systems (e.g. SAP, Success Factors, etc.). Advise employees and managers on Red Bull guidelines and processes including contracts, policies and standards, recruitment, training and employment legislation.
 

Job Description

SYSTEMS AND ADMINISTRATION 

  • Oversee the bi-weekly payroll process in partnership with Red Bull North America to ensure all payroll and union requirements are met on time and accurately.
  • Own and act as the key user for SAP HR / Success Factors and other HR systems (e.g. Anaplan, SMART Recruiters, etc.) including input, maintenance, UAT, and 100% data accuracy.
  • Ensure all data and reporting is updated and communicated within the timeframes required to the relevant stakeholders (including organizational charts, training management, code of conduct, etc.)
  • Support the annual HR processes like the salary review process, headcount/budget planning, etc. by providing input and reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze reports such as EEOC and reports required by Major League Soccer
  • Update relevant HR policies, guidelines, contracts and the local HR Hub page when required.

BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP AND TALENT AQUISITION 

  •  Proactively identify issues and opportunities to the HR Team and wider business to continue and improve employee engagement and deliver business goals.
  • Advise and respond to queries in a timely manner on all HR related topics.
  • Keep all matters related to HR and employees confidential including following data privacy requirements.
  • Manage high volume hiring process for game-day staff at the start of the season.  
  • Support HR Business Partner on all areas of training and recruitment administration.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal and state law.

CULTURE, ENGAGEMENT AND LEARNING 

  •  Champion and support an inclusive culture where all employees feel a sense of belonging.
  • Organize employee onboarding experience from pre-boarding requirements through onboarding/learning plan.
  • Support logistics for employee trainings
  • Host information sessions in partnership with HR Team on a variety of employee-related topics

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE 
  • Bachelor's degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working on a Human Resources team  
  • Experience with HR and Payroll related systems, particularly SAP, SuccessFactors, and Ceridian strongly preferred  
  • Proficient with MS Office particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Due to the nature of the Sports industry, this role requires occasional work on nights, weekends, and occasion travel.
