Company Description
Red Bull New York (“RBNY”) are one of 30 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS) and one of the league’s ten original charter clubs. Founded in 1996, RBNY has competed in MLS since its inception. RBNY’s First Team plays its home matches at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey and its Second Team plays its home matches at Montclair State University. RBNY are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull GmbH, after which the team is named.


RBNY’s First Team is a three-time MLS Supporters’ Shield winner and a two-time Conference Champion, while the Second Team is the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Champion. RBNY also operates one of the nation’s premier youth soccer development programs, spanning local partnerships across New York and New Jersey. POSITION SUMMARY
The Red Bull New York Academy Medical and Performance department is a high performing multi-disciplinary group of practitioners, who strive for the highest level of practice possible every day. This position will be working primarily with our older academy age groups in the Pro Pathway environment (U16-U18) and by nature include collaboration with both academy staff and MLS Next Pro practitioners.

Job Description
  • Coverage of practice and games (Including occasional international travel)
  • Evaluate, treat and conduct rehab with assigned academy athletes
  • Lead referral of athletes to team physicians or other external healthcare providers as necessary
  • Be a leadership role model within the department, ensuring effective communication with departmental staff, coaches, athletes and family members
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with MLS Next Pro medical staff
  • Ensuring age-appropriate medical screening is completed in line with club and league requirements
  • Contribute to long term projects inside and outside the department
  • Maintain digital medical and treatment logs for assigned academy athletes
  • Drive innovation in the Academy medical space
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in athletic training from CAATE recognized school
  • NATABOC Certification
  • Active New Jersey Athletic Trainer Licensure or the ability to quickly obtain
  • Knowledge and experience of a soccer environment/team
  • Experience in MLS Next/MLSNP/MLS environment preferred
  • Current Professional CPR Certification
  • Must pass a background check to work with minors and undergo mandatory Safe Sport training
  • The ability to regularly lift up to 75lbs, in addition to being physically capable of performing general athletic training duties

Additional Information
Due to the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, you may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the company.

The base salary for this position is $75,000. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay is subject to change and may be modified.
