Company Description

The New York Red Bulls are one of 29 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS). RBNY, one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, have competed in the league since its founding in 1996. The Red Bulls play home matches at Red Bull Arena (RBA) in Harrison, New Jersey. The three-time MLS Supporters' Shield Winners are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull for which the team is named. The New York Red Bulls offer one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, from local soccer partnerships across New York and New Jersey to Regional Development Schools and the Red Bulls Academy teams.


The Arena Operations Interns’ main responsibility will be assisting the Operations staff in the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of Red Bull Arena and helping with set up and break down of all major and minor events held at Red Bull Arena. Secondary duties may include but not limited to, keeping maintenance logs and inventory of all Red Bull Arena assets necessary to meet the standard expected by all visitors to Red Bull Arena, assisting with supply ordering, event incident tracking, and joining meeting as a part of the Operations team.

Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Assist in the management of daily operational activities. Assisting in the organization and maintenance of inventory, supplies, and equipment.
  • Assist with project management by coordinating and managing project tasks and deliverables. Assisting in special projects or tasks as assigned by the Director of Arena Operations.
  • Support administrative tasks such as data entry, managing paperwork, and maintaining records. Assisting in the preparation of operational reports and other documents. 
  • Liaise with different departments to improve efficiency and streamline processes. Participating in team meetings and providing input for process improvements.
  • Observe all company policies and procedures to ensure operational compliance. Maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. 
  • Shadow professionals to learn about industry practices and standards.
     

Qualifications

Understand of event logistics and management.



Knowledge of equipment, tools and procedures of equipment management.



Ability to effectively communicate.



The ability to work effectively with people from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds.



Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook and PowerPoint.



Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.



Must have a valid driver’s license.



Availability to work games, special events, nights and weekends.

This is an unpaid, for credit internship (proof that you will receive credit is required).

Because of the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, your assigned hours may vary to reflect our needs (includes nights and weekends).
