GEODIS Park, home of the Nashville Soccer Club, is the largest soccer-specific stadium in the United States and Canada, with a seating capacity of 30,000. POSITION OVERVIEW:
As the Special Events Sales Manager at GEODIS Park, home of Nashville SC, you will play a critical role in driving revenue through the sales and coordination of special events. This position is focused on developing new business, maintaining strong client relationships, and creatively packaging GEODIS Park’s unique venue spaces. You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to maximize venue usage and ensure an exceptional client experience from initial outreach through event execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold outreach, client referrals, trade publications, and database research.
- Build relationships with local event planners, corporate planners, and decision-makers to promote GEODIS Park’s event offerings.
- Schedule and lead venue tours for prospective clients, showcasing features and amenities.
- Prepare and deliver professional proposals and presentations using data, visuals, and client-focused storytelling to secure bookings.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Conduct market research to uncover new leads and cross-departmental tie-in opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal scheduling and booking teams to secure venue availability.
- Partner with operations, marketing, ticketing, sponsorship, and premium sales teams to support event execution and maximize revenue.
- Work with sponsorship and premium sales teams to package special event opportunities with partner or hospitality activations.
- Assist in the ideation and execution of internal special event series and venue-driven initiatives.
- Develop innovative sales strategies and social event packages to increase visibility and overall revenue.
- Attend industry events and networking functions as a representative of GEODIS Park to generate new leads and stay connected to local trends.
- Provide regular reporting on sales activity, pipeline updates, and performance metrics to the Senior Director of Special Events.
- Ensure a seamless handoff and continued communication with operations teams to execute event logistics successfully.
- Support the Senior Director in strategic initiatives, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field; or 3+ years of relevant sales experience in events, hospitality, or corporate settings.
- Experience working in a stadium, sports, entertainment, hotel, or convention center setting in an event sales role preferred.
- Proven success in prospecting, negotiating, and closing diverse event sales.
- Strong knowledge of the event/hospitality industry; familiarity with the Nashville market is a plus.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Detail-oriented multitasker with experience managing fast-paced projects.
- Advanced experience in CRM and venue management tools (e.g., Tripleseat, Momentus, VenueOps) and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Creative in developing tailored event packages.
- Self-driven, collaborative, and results-driven.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
