Minnesota United FC (MNUFC) is a professional soccer club competing in Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier of soccer in North America. Our headquarters are in Golden Valley, MN, with soccer operations based at the MNUFC Training Center in Blaine. Position: 

The Manager, Group Sales is part of the Ticket Sales and Service department for Minnesota United FC (MNUFC), a sports business located in the Twins Cities area of Minnesota and a member of Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier soccer league in North America.

 

Position Summary:

Minnesota United are seeking a highly organized, passionate, hard-working, dedicated leader to maximize revenue through the sale of group tickets.

The Manager, Group Sales position oversees all facets of the development and execution of group sales. This role requires a highly organized, passionate, hard-working, dedicated leader to maximize revenue through the sale of group tickets. This is a management position that hires, trains, and supervises sales representatives. This is a hybrid role, where you will be expected to sell to new groups, renew past groups, and self-prospect new group leads.

This full-time position is based in Golden Valley, MN and will report to the Senior Director, Group & Single Game Sales.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and inspire the group sales team by managing daily operations, recruiting top-tier talent, and facilitating hands-on training and coaching to ensure the department consistently meets and exceeds revenue targets.

  • Drive year-round revenue growth by aggressively prospecting for new group opportunities while securing renewals and deposits to maintain a robust book of business.

  • Deliver exceptional client experiences by managing group accounts from initial sale through event execution, ensuring every outing is flawlessly prepared and executed.
  • Cultivate high-performance standards by conducting regular performance reviews and providing the mentorship necessary to develop a championship-level sales culture.
  • Act as a brand ambassador by conducting face-to-face meetings with prospects and existing clients to build lasting partnerships and identify new sales initiatives.

  • Optimize sales strategy and organization by researching new market opportunities, maintaining meticulous weekly sales updates, and remaining agile enough to support the team with other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or combination of education and work experience
  • 3+ years of ticket sales experience in sports or related industry
  • Previous experience and success in selling group tickets
  • Ability to train, coach, and motivate ticket sales representatives
  • Previous experience managing a team in selling environment preferred
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule (evenings and weekends)
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus

 

Compensation & Benefits:

Minnesota United FC values the contributions of our team members and is committed to transparency in our compensation practices. The base compensation range for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 annually, plus incentive compensation. We provide a competitive benefits package that includes health coverage, retirement savings plans, paid time off, and additional perks to support you both personally and professionally.
