About the San Jose Earthquakes:
The San Jose Earthquakes have a mission to establish our home as the epicenter of American soccer by uniting Northern California with big dreams, big hustle, and big impact. We are seeking a Senior Director, Partnership Marketing who will oversee the activation and execution of corporate partnerships, manage partner relationships, and drive renewals and upselling while serving as a key liaison between partners and the Club.
About the Position:
The San Jose Earthquakes is seeking a Senior Director, Partnership Marketing to manage the activation/execution, relationship management, and renewal/upselling of all Earthquakes’ corporate partnerships. A key member of the Partnerships department, this person will serve as a liaison between key corporate partners and the Club. As a player/coach, this person will also develop and mentor a team. This position requires a professional dedicated to exemplary service who is passionate, creative and self-motivated. The Senior Director, Partnership Marketing will report into the VP, Sponsorships.

Successful Candidates:
A successful candidate for the Senior Director, Partnership Marketing will take full ownership of the partner lifecycle, utilizing a process driven approach to consistently meet renewal targets and deliver measurable ROI. You will serve as a visionary leader who prioritizes developing others through proactive coaching and clear performance management. Your organizational skills will ensure the seamless execution of campaign assets and marquee partner activations for yourself and the team throughout the demanding sports season. Ultimately, you will act as a high-integrity ambassador for the organization, focused on building long-term, impactful, and sustainable relationships that drive the business forward.

Responsibilities:
· Manage partnership marketing team – provide leadership, coaching, and performance tracking to become best-in-class
· Develop goals and objectives for the team and create opportunities for upward mobility/increased responsibility
· Directly oversee specific marquee partner relationships
· Achieve annual renewal revenue and upsell revenue goals set
· Must understand partners’ business challenges to create impactful solutions that delivers on the partners’ ROI
· Manage inventory tracking across all partnerships, working closely with Business Development team
· Oversee annual touchpoint plans for all partners and accountable for all renewal presentations for soon to be out-of-contract partners
· Collaborate with Marketing team to develop new activation programs/assets to be used by partners; manage communication with Digital/Creative teams to ensure smooth implementation
· Liaise with Operations team to ensure successful execution of in-stadium and special event partner assets
· Represent Partnership Marketing team in other department/organizational settings – Sponsorship/Marketing meeting, All-Staff meeting, etc.
· Evaluate and develop new processes with emerging technologies and/or product solutions
· Attend all homes games and partner special events to manage partner activations
Qualifications:
· 4-year college degree
· 5+ years work experience in sales/marketing with proven track record of success
· Partnership Marketing experience in professional sports preferred
· Ability to manage and motivate people and develop a team
· Comfortable presenting/speaking to executive groups
· Demonstrated ability to network in the corporate community
· Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
· Desire to work collaboratively with others to see projects through from conception to completion
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
· Willingness to work odd hours, including nights and weekends
Salary: $110,000 - $130,000
