About the Position:
The Manager of Match Presentation & Live Production will lead the creative and technical execution of live events and game days, making sure the atmosphere is electric and seamlessly produced. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Brand Marketing, this role oversees the run of show, manages production crews, and maintains all in-stadium A/V systems.
This position blends creativity with precision — crafting engaging presentations, coordinating with marketing and sponsorship teams, and keeping stadium production equipment running at peak performance. The ideal candidate combines creative vision, technical know-how, and strong leadership to deliver dynamic, high-quality live experiences that reflect the team’s brand and energy.

Responsibilities:
Earthquakes’ Run of Show
- Offseason: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop the season’s run of show. Align on goals, brainstorm concepts, gain consensus, and establish a strategic execution plan.
- In-season: Write scripts, prepare the production crew, host, and PA for each game.
- Develop and pitch ideas to enhance fan engagement.
- Stay informed on team performance, business initiatives, and community priorities to ensure the show highlights key organizational messages.
- Communicate creative needs clearly and on schedule to the Creative Team.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance the overall stadium atmosphere and fan experience.
Stadium A/V and Engineering
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of all stadium AV equipment — including how each system operates and how to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Identify, scope, and propose equipment or system improvements (audio, video boards, cameras, etc.).
- Develop and manage an ongoing maintenance and replacement plan, including lifecycle tracking, offseason updates, and budgeting for repairs or upgrades.
- Oversee both audio and video systems to ensure consistent quality and timely issue resolution.
- Conduct quality control checks of all AV systems prior to events to allow adequate time for adjustments.
Staffing
- Build and manage a reliable production crew for all games and events.
- Oversee hiring, training, scheduling, and payroll for production staff.
- Lead game day operations and communication, ensuring smooth execution across all teams.
- Develop a pipeline of qualified production leads to support long-term staffing needs.
Content Management
- Oversee matchday, outside event, and digital board content management to ensure accuracy, legibility, and alignment with messaging goals.
- Review partner graphics, backside board messaging, and overall content quality, making recommendations for optimization.
- Oversee stadium music programming and ensure compliance with all licensing requirements for both in-stadium and outside events.
Outside Events
- Maintain clear systems and communication to stay informed on all upcoming events and key dates.
- Ensure all necessary event information is received in time to support planning and execution.
- Oversee content loading and testing for outside events to ensure accuracy and functionality.
- Coordinate on-site support and troubleshooting, personally or through a trusted crew member.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in event management, game presentation, live entertainment, or a related field, preferably in sports or live events.
- Proven ability to develop and execute engaging match presentation, from high-level concept creation to on-the-ground implementation.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives while meeting deadlines.
- Creative thinker with a passion for live events, capable of identifying new ways to enhance the match presentation and drive engagement.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally with internal teams, vendors, and talent.
- Ability to adapt quickly to last-minute changes, problem-solve in real time, and maintain a solutions-focused mindset under pressure.
- Experience managing budgets, negotiating contracts, and coordinating logistics for events and activations.
- Ability to work and travel non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (this position will require working Earthquakes and PayPal Park Events).
- Experience with stadium or live event AV systems, including troubleshooting and maintenance of audio, video boards, and related equipment.
- Understanding of live show production workflows, including scripting, cueing, and content management systems.
- Proven ability to hire, train, and manage production staff and crews for live events.
