This role includes managing video systems, assisting with video capture and editing, and supporting day-to-day operations. About the Position:
The San Jose Earthquakes are seeking a driven and detail oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant First Team Video Analyst. As an Assistant First Team Video Analyst, you will work directly alongside the Lead First Team Video Analyst in supporting the First Team Coaching Staff and First Team Players in all aspects of the Video Analysis Process. This includes capturing, editing, and storing video of all training sessions and matches, assisting staff members with video preparation for the purpose of individual player or positional group development, and assisting staff members in the process of opposition analysis. This position is perfect for someone who wants to develop their skills through hands on participation in the daily training and match preparation environment of a professional soccer team.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for operating a drone during training sessions.
- Responsible for live/post session tagging of training sessions within Hudl Sportscode.
- Assist with organization of video library. Including but not limited to individual player folders, opposition scouting presentations, post-match reflection videos, and tactical phase of play examples, etc.
- Assist with setup/breakdown of equipment on the training pitch, as well as in the technical booth and on the bench for matches.
- Responsible for live capture and tagging of match video during games.
- Support other members of the technical staff with video analysis/editing in a multitude of areas. Including but not limited to set-piece analysis/telestration, organization/tracking of individual player development playlists, tagging and analysis of opposition match video, etc.
Qualifications:
- Previous playing or coaching experience at a college or professional level is preferred
- Passion for tactical analysis and player development
- Experience working with relevant software such as Hudl Sportscode, Spiideo, Hudl Statsbomb and Wyscout is preferred
- Experience working in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and work with others
- Professional, organized, and polite in all interactions (players, staff, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail
