The Portland Timbers Corporate Partnership seasonal intern will work within the Corporate Partnership Department to assist with driving new business, research, creation of proposals, activating and servicing existing clients, event planning, maintaining activation reports, and building recap reports. The seasonal intern will be required to attend Timbers games and events as necessary.
 
Hours: 15 – 20 hours per week on average
Duration: During the MLS season
Compensation: $17 per hour
 
Examples of Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Assists with trafficking all TV for corporate partners. Ensures Apple TV/MLS and KGW have received spots, contacts clients when a new spot is needed, and updates the sponsorship department with available inventory and bonus opportunities. Responsible for pulling affidavits as needed by the Sales Directors and PM department.  
  • Assists with trafficking all radio spots for corporate partners. Ensures all networks have received spots, contacts clients when a new spot is needed, and updates the sponsorship department with available inventory and bonus opportunities. Responsible for pulling affidavits as needed by the Sales Directors and PM department.  
  • Supports the Partnership Marketing team by reviewing the game day script to make sure everything is running - this includes all LED trafficking/tracking, in-game promotions/features, in-game spots, IPTV, and iSite media
  • Participate in client business meetings if requested.
  • Assist in the creation and maintaining client activation reports.
  • Participate in brainstorming to ideate and execute new inventory, events, and promotions to drive partnership revenue.
  • Other duties as determined by Vice President, Partnership Marketing.

  • Attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience with Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience with Canva, Photoshop, and Adobe Suite is beneficial.
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills and adherence to highest ethical standards
  • Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, within a team atmosphere.
