ABOUT OUR COMPANY:
Philadelphia was awarded the 16th Major League Soccer franchise in February, 2008 and the team was officially announced as the Philadelphia Union in May, 2009.  Owned and operated by Keystone Sports and Entertainment LLC (“KSE”), the group launched the Philadelphia Union's inaugural season in 2010 and opened Talen Energy Stadium in June, 2010.  Talen Energy Stadium is an 18,500 seat, world-class soccer specific stadium that sits beautifully along the Delaware River at the base of the Commodore Barry Bridge and is only 15 miles from downtown Philadelphia.

ABOUT THIS ROLE:
The Digital Content Coordinator will be responsible for developing visual content across Philadelphia Union social media platforms. 
This role is primarily concerned with identifying social media trends and creating video content that capitalizes on those trends. The coordinator must use imagination and creativity to craft compelling stories for use as social media content.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, produce, and edit visual content for social media platforms by:
  • Ideating social media content that drives engagement and generates consumption and viewership
  • Creating or manipulating images, motion graphics, GIFs, and video content by adding engaging visual elements.
  • Working closely with social media and web managers, along with video production and graphic design teams and third parties to construct content that incorporates trending topics to tell stories relevant to Philadelphia Union and its brand.
Advance Union digital production by:
  • Contributes enhanced video, creative visualizations, and visual stories around the Union brand
  • Understanding of design fundamentals and techniques.
  • Conceptualizing and creating original designs and follow through to completion.
  • Use high level of skill in aspects of typography, color and layout.
  • Working well in a team-oriented environment
  • Effectively communicating and presenting design concepts and ideas

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Expert proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite including but not limited to - Photoshop, After Effects, Premier, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Demonstrated ability to create innovative, forward-thinking, and thoughtful visual content with emphasis on social media
  • Advanced knowledge of major social media networks and content produced for these outlets
  • Must have a strong interest in soccer as well as a deep understanding of internet, social media and pop cultures
  • Strong graphic design skills
  • Interest in acquiring 3D tools/visual effects skills (e.g., Maya, 3ds Max)
  • Basic photography/photo editing skills
