Title: Manager of Supporter Community

WHAT SETS YOU APART
You are an approachable customer service professional specialized in building trust and managing relationships with large groups. You are organized and can manage gameday logistics and collaborate with the Club’s Recognized Supporter Groups (i.e. Ruckus, Iron Lion Firm, and Black Swans Drinking Club). In addition, you will serve as the main conduit between the Club and its Supporters. In this position, you will also be responsible for establishing and leading monthly council meetings to aggregate and report feedback from Supporters on all aspects of our Club’s culture and matchday experience to create action plans and improve their experience. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Run point on scheduling, relationship, and management of all communication between the Club and Supporter
  • Manager Supporter Engagement budget, meetings, FAQ’s, invoice/expense processing, shipping, and other responsibilities. 
  • Communicate and assist Supporters with any and all stadium-operations related needs including but not limited to matchday presentation, tailgating, safety and security. 
  • Lead Supporter Away Travel Plans for both visiting Supporters as well as Orlando City and Orlando Pride Supporters away travel.
  • Lead ideation and collaboration with Supporters around in-game atmosphere, including TIFO, rigging system, drums, flags & equipment, safe standing section, supporter-specific bars/concessions, capo stands, integration of fan rituals into matchday presentation, etc.
  • Establish and lead monthly Supporter Council meetings in order to gather feedback from Supporters, Season Ticket Members, and general fans on all aspects of our Club’s culture and matchday experience.
  • Attend and provide any necessary support to all Supporter events and functions throughout the year (e.g. happy hours, drumline rehearsals, TIFO painting events, etc.)
  • Manage all communication between Supporters and Club’s Ticket Sales and Member Services departments. 
  • Serve as the main conduit between Supporters’ and the Club’s Community Relations Team to coordinate charitable programs and initiatives. 
  • Manage any Club related Supporter-specific events (i.e. open practice, Coach/player meet & greet, team sendoff, tunnel painting, smoke training) and coordinate Supporters’ participation in other Club events (i.e. watch parties, 5K, jersey launches, etc.)
  • Assist Marketing department with Grassroots Marketing programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in sports industry, professional team, or community organizing preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships internally and externally, build trust, and maintain professionalism and respect at all times.
  • Strong customer service or fan relations and engagement experience.
  • Highly driven self-starter, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail, effective follow-up and follow through required.
  • Strong listening skills and ability to make rational decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to multitask and execute various projects in a timely manner.
  • Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English - both verbally and in writing.
  • Superb critical thinking skills to effectively and efficiently address and solve internal and external challenges.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products and a myriad of third-party research.
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality at all times.  
  • Natural desire to service Supporters with proactive, “can do” attitude.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to work all home games during the season, as well as away games that require Supporter coordination.
  • Deep understanding of Soccer and Supporter culture.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
