The New York Red Bulls are one of 26 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS). RBNY, one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, have competed in the league since its founding in 1996. The Red Bulls play home matches at Red Bull Arena (RBA) in Harrison, New Jersey. The three-time MLS Supporters' Shield Winners are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull for which the team is named. The New York Red Bulls offer one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, from local soccer partnerships across New York and New Jersey to Regional Development Schools and the Red Bulls Academy teams.

RBNY is looking for a talented Producer/Editor to join our Content & Communications team. The day to day duties of the position will focus on shooting and editing videos for all RBNY platforms (digital, social, broadcast, etc.)

We are looking for a candidate who has a strong grasp on storytelling and understands that the strategy behind the video concept is just as important as the production itself. This person needs to have the ability to work efficiently in a high demanding and time sensitive manner and have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Required to perform the job)
  • Help grow the RBNY brand through visual creativity as part of the RBNY Content & Communications team
  • Produce visual content for RBNY platforms including digital, social and broadcast channels using motion graphics, video editing, and photo editing software
  • Tell stories by creating micro-content in a fast-paced environment
  • Assist in content ideation and developing video strategy
  • Stay up to date on video trends and take initiative to try new techniques in editing
  • Understand current and emerging social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snap, TikTok, etc.) and how to create compelling visual content for each platform
  • Identify viral trends and create engaging content to capitalize on these moments
  • Shoot footage of games, in-studio player interviews, feature b-roll, scenic footage, and more
  • Experience using Adobe After Effects to create motion graphics and add special effects to videos
  • Perform tasks as needed, including but not limited to shooting, sound design, gripping, color correction, and graphic design/animation
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assist with internal video requests
  • Perform additional duties as assigned from time-to-time by Senior Director, Content & Communications

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
  • Knowledge of sports (soccer is preferred); strong knowledge of the New York Red Bulls and Red Bull brand a plus
  • Experience working in athletic production
  • Must be able to see a project through from start to finish
  • Experience using Sony FS7 is preferred but not required
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and external communication skills
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with all internal staff and management
  • Must be detail oriented, ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely and professional manner, be well organized and able to prioritize efficiently, and have excellent oral and written skills
  • Able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of social media and digital platforms

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
