Human Resources: Human Resources Generalist
In December 2017 Nashville was named the 24th team in Major League Soccer.  Nashville Soccer Club (NSC) will move into a new soccer-specific stadium in 2021. The stadium will be the largest soccer-specific stadium in North America seating 30,000 fans.
Position Overview:  
Responsible for the implementation and execution of a variety of human resources related duties including, but not limited to, onboarding, training, time and attendance, benefit and compensation administration and compliance.
Job Responsibilities:                                         
  • Develop a robust orientation process for all new hires to include job-specific trainings.
  • Initiate onboarding process for new hires conducts new associate orientations to include the administration of background checks, drug screening, etc.
  • Implement a training calendar for the entire organization to include trainings required for specific roles (e.g., forklift training for operational staff, SafeSport training, etc.).
  • Oversee the time & attendance platform utilized by the Club. Respond to issues and questions as appropriate.
  • Administers workers’ compensation claims and maintains WC recordkeeping.
  • Researches, develops, and manages the employee recognition and employee engagement programs.
  • Reviews and maintains I-9 records to ensure compliance.                                                 
  • Maintains human resource information system (HRIS) records and compiles reports from the database. 
  • Completes Major League Soccer annual HR-related reporting requests.
  • Communicates benefit information to employees during open enrollment sessions. 
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations (e.g., ACA reporting, OSHA reporting, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, or related field preferred.
  • 2 – 3 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Outgoing personality with track record of effective interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal) that creates trusting relationships
  • Proactive, organized and detail-oriented individual who can prioritize their workload and work effectively under pressure.
  • Ensures confidentiality of information and utmost discretion in all situations.
