SUMMARY
The Chicago Fire Soccer Club is seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking individual to lead game presentation, inclusive of all gameday entertainment, on-field presentation, halftime programming and in-stadium storytelling, among other elements. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing inventive programs and activations focused on enhancing fan experience, telling the stories of the club and players, smartly integrating corporate partners and, ultimately, growing the fan base. 

The ideal candidate will be imaginative in thinking, collaborative in process, and innovative in approach.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Provide strategic direction and day-to-day oversight of all elements of game presentation
  • Oversee a staff of both full-time and part-time staff, including those in the control room, the PA announcers, in-stadium DJ, on-field staff, etc.
  • Manage in-stadium music strategy and partnerships, including playlists and concerts
  • Oversee development of game presentation script and match day timeline
  • Oversee development of in-stadium assets – video, LED boards, graphics, etc.
  • Oversee production of PA copy for match day and key events
  • Manage all in-stadium programs and promotions
  • Work closely with Corporate Partnerships, Ticket Sales & Services, Fan Experience, Marketing, Communications, and Community to ensure all departmental needs are fulfilled on gameday
  • Work closely with Marketing to ensure club’s brand identity is appropriately represented across all programs, assets and activations
  • Work closely with the Operations team on matchday submittals, staffing and logistics 
  • Research fan engagement trends, game presentation and industry-wide best practices to ensure a first-class fan experience
  • Manage internal and external staff to execute all elements of game presentation
  • Assist with creative planning and execution of club video shoots
  • Oversee development and execution of matchday themes
  • Oversee development of post-game recaps
  • Work directly with MLS to ensure protocol and commercial guidelines are met 
  • Responsible for budget development and expense tracking 
  • Support all elements related to Fan Experience on matchday, including Fire Fest, Heineken Beer Garden, pre-match concerts and other gameday programs and events
  • Assist with planning and execution of the club’s major events, including the Foundation Gala, Kickoff Week programming, season ticket holder events, press conferences, viewing parties, among others
  • Provide support for all departmental events, including those managed by Corporate Partnerships, Marketing, Ticket Sales, among others
  • Assist with vision and execution of the club’s grassroots marketing efforts, including on-site presence and fan engagement techniques  

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s in marketing, sports management/entertainment, operations, or related field
  • Minimum eight (8) years relevant game presentation and event experience
  • Experience developing, planning and executing large-scale, live, spectator events
  • Strong relationship-building skills and preexisting relationships within the sport, entertainment and event industries
  • Demonstrated leadership traits, experience managing and inspiring a team
  • Proven ability to think strategically and creatively while maintaining attention to detail
  • Track record of delivering value for corporate partners
  • Solid project management and budget management skills
  • Proactive, creative, and idea-oriented 
  • Spirit of teamwork, collaboration, and enthusiasm 
  • Desire to create inclusive and cooperative work environment 
  • Entrepreneurial in spirit, unafraid to tackle new projects 
  • Proven ability to interact and brainstorm concepts within a team setting
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when needed
  • Well organized with ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  •  Working knowledge of soccer, MLS and the Chicago Fire
