THE OPPORTUNITY
POSITION SUMMARY
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, organize, and deliver daily goalkeeper training sessions that align with the club's playing model and tactical philosophy.
- Develop goalkeepers technically, tactically, physically, and mentally to maximize individual and team performance.
- Provide individualized coaching, feedback, and mentorship to support continuous improvement.
- Prepare goalkeepers for matchday through tactical preparation, opponent tendencies, and game-specific planning.
- Collaborate closely with the Head Coach and performance staff to integrate goalkeepers into all phases of team training.
- Develop and monitor Individual Development Plans for each goalkeeper.
- Lead video analysis of goalkeeper performances to identify strengths, improvement opportunities, and development priorities.
- Support first-team analysis through opponent scouting, match review, and tactical reporting.
- Utilize video, statistical analysis, and performance data to inform coaching decisions and player development.
- Prepare analytical presentations and reports for coaching staff, players, and technical leadership.
- Continuously evaluate emerging analytical tools and technologies that improve performance and decision-making.
- Support the club's recruitment strategy through scouting, player evaluation, and talent identification.
- Lead goalkeeper scouting efforts while assisting with evaluation of field players as needed.
- Produce written scouting reports and recruitment recommendations for technical leadership.
- Attend matches, showcases, tournaments, and scouting events as assigned.
- Maintain relationships within the soccer community to strengthen Carolina Core FC's recruitment network and player pipeline.
- Collaborate with academy, MLS, and external partners to identify players aligned with the club's philosophy.
- Work collaboratively with the Head Coach, technical staff, performance staff, and medical staff to support daily first-team operations.
- Assist with training design, match preparation, and implementation of the club's game model.
- Support roster planning discussions through player evaluations and analytical insights.
- Contribute to a high-performance environment built on preparation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional goalkeeper coaching experience preferred; experience within a professional, academy, collegiate, or elite competitive environment required.
- USSF Goalkeeper License and USSF "A" or “B” Coaching License. Candidates actively pursuing advanced coaching licenses will be considered.
- Experience in video analysis platforms (Hudl Sportscode, Wyscout, Spiideo, or similar) preferred.
- Experience in player scouting, recruitment, and talent evaluation.
- Strong understanding of goalkeeper methodology, tactical concepts, player development, and match analysis.
- Excellent communication, organization, analytical, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary high-performance environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to preparation.
- Passion for developing players, identifying talent, and strengthening the overall soccer ecosystem.
