Compensation:
- Base salary starting at $32,500
- Variable compensation including commission on tickets sold and incentive compensation tied to individual and company performance
Reports to: VP of Ticket Sales
Role Overview
The Account Executive, Ticket Sales is responsible for driving ticket revenue across a portfolio of sports and entertainment events. This role focuses on prospecting, relationship-building, and closing ticket sales through a high-activity, customer-focused sales approach.
Account Executives work in a fast-paced, in-person environment and play a critical role in connecting fans, groups, and organizations to live events. This position is ideal for a motivated sales professional looking to build a career in sports and entertainment while developing strong sales fundamentals.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Sell a full menu of ticket products, including season tickets, group outings, premium experiences, and special event packages
- Prospect, qualify, and close new business through outbound calls, emails, in-person meetings, and networking
- Meet or exceed daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sales activity and revenue goals
- Generate leads through referrals, community engagement, cold outreach, and inbound inquiries
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to drive renewals and repeat business
Customer Relationship Management
- Deliver a high level of customer service before, during, and after events
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the ticketing and CRM systems
- Manage a book of business with a focus on retention, upselling, and long-term relationships
- Serve as a point of contact for clients attending events, including group leaders and VIP experiences
Game Day & Event Responsibilities
- Work assigned home games, events, and on-site activations as required
- Assist with event execution, client hosting, and fan engagement initiatives
- Represent the organization professionally at games, community events, and networking opportunities
Team & Organizational Support
- Collaborate with ticket sales leadership and cross-functional teams including marketing, promotions, and operations
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development
- Support department-wide initiatives and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, sports management, or related field preferred
- 1+ year of sales experience preferred (sports, entertainment, or customer-facing sales a plus)
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a goal-driven, performance-based sales environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and events
- Proficiency with CRM systems and standard business software (e.g., HubSpot, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)

Compensation Structure
This role includes:
- Base salary beginning at $32,500
- Commission earned on ticket sales. Total earnings are performance-based, with upside for high achievers.
- Incentive compensation tied to additional individual and company performance goals.
