Overview

MLS is seeking a Manager who will lead cross-functional project management and provide operational support for MLS Productions and the MLS Media department, with a focus on driving key initiatives across content, production, and distribution. This role will oversee integrated project planning, support domestic and international distribution efforts, and assist with vendor onboarding and day-to-day management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage cross-functional projects for MLS Productions and the broader MLS Media department, ensuring clear scope definition, structured planning, and timely execution, including:
    • Developing and maintaining integrated project plans, workflows, timelines, and documentation
    • Monitoring progress
    • Identifying risks
    • Implementing mitigation strategies
  • Support international and domestic distribution initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with the Apple Partnerships team and serve as a day-to-day operational support resource for content, production, and distribution matters
  • Prepare high-quality presentation materials for senior leadership, translating complex information into clear narratives and visuals
  • Assist in managing vendor workflows, including contract tracking, performance evaluations, and identifying opportunities for operational efficiency
  • Conduct research, benchmarking, and data analysis to support strategy development and informed decision-making
  • Build strong working relationships across IT, Legal, Marketing, Digital, Operations, and other departments
  • Support change-management efforts related to new systems, platforms, and workflows
  • Participate in evaluating technology vendors, production partners, and service providers, including due diligence and RFP coordination
  • Provide ad hoc analysis, project support, and operational assistance to departmental leadership
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5+ years of experience required

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the sports or media industries
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and collaborate across departments within the broader organization
  • Exceptional PowerPoint and presentation development skills; proven ability to create executive-level or client-facing materials
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including comfort with data analysis and synthesizing complex information into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities; able to work effectively with senior stakeholders and external partners
  • Experience using project management tools (e.g., Asana)
  • High-level of commitment to a quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
  • High attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with international and/or domestic content distribution
  • Knowledge of the Spanish Language (business proficiency)
  • Knowledge of the sport of soccer
  • Ability to travel and to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Major League Soccer offers a competitive starting base salary of $75,000 - $85,000, based on individual qualifications, market financials, and operational business needs.
