Who are we hiring?  
The Kansas City Current is seeking two highly motivated and analytical individuals to join our team as a Data Strategy & Analytics Interns throughout the 2026 NWSL Season. This internship is designed for students or early-career professionals interested in gaining hands-on experience supporting real-world analytics, data operations and business intelligence initiatives with a professional sports organization.
Interns will work closely with members of the Data Strategy & Analytics team to support data collection, reporting, automation and analysis efforts that inform decision making across the Club.
This role is ideal for individuals who are curious, detail oriented and eager to learn how data is used operationally across ticketing, marketing, CRM and business functions.

 This is a season-long internship continuing until the end of the 2026 NWSL Season.

What will you do?  
Intern responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from various sources.  
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.  
  • Support the development and implementation of documentation surrounding data analytics models, algorithms, and pipelines.  
  • Collaborate with team members to design and execute data-driven experiments and tests.  
  • Create visually appealing and informative reports and dashboards using data visualization tools.  
  • Assist in monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance.  
  • Assist in development of data pipelines, automations, and CRM management. 
  • Support ad-hoc data analysis requests from different departments within the organization.  
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and contribute fresh ideas to the team.

  • 6. Time Management and Prioritization: Balancing multiple tasks and deadlines is a common challenge in data analytics projects. You should be able to manage their time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality. 
  • 7. Teamwork and Collaboration: Data analytics projects often require collaboration with cross-functional teams. You should be able to work collaboratively with team members, actively participate in discussions, and contribute ideas to achieve common goals.

    Special requirements of the Job: (Should not be edited, please discuss with HR team member)
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights (event evenings & overnight operation shifts) and holidays.
Ability to monitor company communications and respond to time-sensitive matters with senior executives. 
Must be able to stand, walk, and move around the venue for extended periods of time, often during events or facility setup and breakdown.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed for event setup, equipment management, or assisting with operational needs.
Requires occasional bending, squatting, and reaching overhead to handle various tasks related to facility management, equipment, and event preparation.
Must be capable of working in physically demanding environments, including navigating stairs, ramps, and elevated platforms during venue conversions.
Ability to work outdoors continuously for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
