COMPANY BACKGROUND
The Houston Dynamo Football Club (HDFC) is a multi-faceted organization dedicated to inspiring and supporting soccer participation and growth in Houston, TX and beyond. The Club’s brands include men's and women's professional teams - the Houston Dynamo (MLS) and Houston Dash (NWSL), a development academy, Houston Dynamo Dash Charities, as well as Shell Energy Stadium and Houston Sports Park.
The Club has a rich history, including MLS Cup titles (2006, 2007) and in-season tournament championships for both the Dynamo (2018) (2023) and Dash (2020) and is focused on building toward the next championships, inspiring and uniting the city of Houston through the sport of soccer and community outreach, and creating the most inclusive sporting experience and diverse fan base in the city and state.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This role will aid in the successful execution of Houston Dynamo FC, Houston Dash, and Houston Dynamo 2 games including back of house and filed operations, as well as select international matches while gaining valuable learning opportunities, hands -on experience, and the chance to have a direct impact on professional soccer in Houston.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in the execution and organization of game day operations, including match set-up, tear down, and clean-up
- Provides operational and logistical support to HDFC, Shell Energy Stadium, and league staff during events
- Monitors and assists with maintaining a clean field level and field of play according to MLS, NWSL, FIFA, and Shell Energy Stadium standards
- Oversees fan engagements and participants on match days
- Adheres to strict event timeline and tasks for preparing the field and back of house areas
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Able to work all assigned Houston Dynamo FC and Houston Dash home games as well as additional stadium events as needed
- Able to work all assigned Houston Dynamo 2 home games at the external facility
- Must be available to work flexible hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be available to attend mandatory training session(s)
- Able to move and lift objects that may exceed 40 lbs
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods of time
- High School Diploma or GED required
