COMPANY BACKGROUND 

The Houston Dynamo Football Club (HDFC) is a multi-faceted organization dedicated to inspiring and supporting soccer participation and growth in Houston, TX and beyond. The Club’s brands include men's and women's professional teams - the Houston Dynamo (MLS) and Houston Dash (NWSL), a development academy, Houston Dynamo Dash Charities, as well as Shell Energy Stadium and Houston Sports Park.   

The Club has a rich history, including MLS Cup titles (2006, 2007) and in-season tournament championships for both the Dynamo (2018) (2023)  and Dash (2020) and is focused on building toward the next championships, inspiring and uniting the city of Houston through the sport of soccer and community outreach, and creating the most inclusive sporting experience and diverse fan base in the city and state. 

 

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Parking Attendant oversees frontline parking, traffic flow, and admission operations during events.  They will direct guests where to park in relation to events on the Shell Energy Stadium property as well as assist with credit card transactions or passes.  Also, acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients’ requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to. The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure, and experienced in managing security personnel in a fast-paced live event environment. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Pregame and Event Preparation 
    • Review event schedules, VIP movements, and parking plans.  
    • Coordinate with internal departments and external partners as needed.  
  • Game Day Operations   
    • Train, schedule, and supervise Gate Attendants to ensure parking and entry processes proceed efficiently. 
    • Must have the ability to handle credit card and electronic transactions accurately and efficiently. 
    • Assist with parking ingress and egress. 
    • Must be customer friendly, self-motivated, and enjoy working around people in a fast-paced environment  
    • Effectively communicate with guests, clients, vendors, and other personnel.   
    • Manage and monitor game day parking operations, including VIP and restricted access areas.  
    • Serve as a point of contact for Parking issues, escalations and real time problem solving  
    • Other duties as assigned.    
  • Post Game Operations   
    • Report incidents, concerns, and operational feedback to Director of Parking and Transportation 

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior experience in event operations or large-scale operations  
  • Prior experience supervising or leading small teams or coordinating tasks is a plus. 
  • Strong situational awareness and decision-making skills   
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills   
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays   
  • Physical and Work Requirements   
  • Ability to stand and walk extended periods   
  • Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions  
  • Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations
