COMPANY BACKGROUND
The Houston Dynamo Football Club (HDFC) is a multi-faceted organization dedicated to inspiring and supporting soccer participation and growth in Houston, TX and beyond. The Club’s brands include men's and women's professional teams - the Houston Dynamo (MLS) and Houston Dash (NWSL), a development academy, Houston Dynamo Dash Charities, as well as Shell Energy Stadium and Houston Sports Park.
The Club has a rich history, including MLS Cup titles (2006, 2007) and in-season tournament championships for both the Dynamo (2018) and Dash (2020) and is focused on building toward the next championships, inspiring and uniting the city of Houston through the sport of soccer and community outreach, and creating the most inclusive sporting experience and diverse fan base in the city and state.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This part-time role is ideal for individuals eager to be a part of the sports entertainment industry. As a Hype Team Member, you will elevate the fan experience through high-energy performances, crowd engagement, and dynamic interactions with fans – bringing excitement, personality, and fun to every event and matchday moment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute high-energy performances, skits with the mascot, and crowd-leading moments with limited rehearsal time
- Engage and interact with fans in both one-on-one and group environments to drive crowd excitement
- Maintain a clean, professional uniform appearance at all games and events
- Represent Houston Dynamo FC with professionalism and pride at all times
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Performance background preferred (dance, cheer, gymnastics, or related experience)
- Tumbling and acrobatic skills preferred, including standing tucks, round-off handspring variations, and basic acro tricks
- 0-1 years of experience
- Reliable and flexible availability, especially evenings and weekends
- Bilingual English/Spanish – preferred.
