Houston Dynamo FC is seeking candidates for the video coordination internship program. The video coordination internship program provides hands-on experience with the various duties and responsibilities required to be a successful video coordinator or analyst at a professional soccer club.  

Position title: Video Analyst Intern 
Reports to: Louan Schlicht, Head Video Analyst and Mike Gazouleas, Dynamo 2 Video Analyst 

Status: June through November

Job description: The Houston Dynamo is looking to hire a highly motivated, driven, and energetic individual who has a passion for soccer and interest in the analytical side of the sport. This is a flexible role that is mainly focused around assisting the video analytic department for the Houston Dynamo First Team, Dynamo 2, and Houston Dynamo FC Academy. The primary goal for this position is to support the current video analysts and assist with workload, helping to ensure that First Team/MLS NEXT Pro/Academy games and training sessions are filmed, tagged, and uploaded to our internal storage database. 

Throughout this internship the applicant will gain a greater understanding of the processes/requirements of a video analyst at the MLS, MLS NEXT Pro, and MLS academy level. 

Specific roles and responsibilities:  

• Assist with filming/tagging of training sessions for the First Team, Dynamo 2, and Academy with a drone, or self-filming Hudl cameras 
• Assist with filming of academy/MLS Next games on weekends 
• Be available to film or help with Dynamo 2 and First Team home games 
• Open and responsive to special projects assigned by Head Video Analyst 

Requirements:  

• Soccer background is essential (either playing, coaching, or an active fan) 
• Background in using video equipment/drones preferred 
• Must be punctual, reliable, and organized 
• Must be able to think on your feet as well as problem solve quickly 
• Must be receptive to feedback as well as changes in processes if/when required  
• Must have access to own laptop (Macbook preferred)
