COMPANY BACKGROUND 
The Houston Dynamo Football Club (HDFC) is a multi-faceted organization dedicated to inspiring and supporting soccer participation and growth in Houston, TX and beyond. The Club’s brands include men's and women's professional teams - the Houston Dynamo (MLS) and Houston Dash (NWSL), a development academy, Houston Dynamo Dash Charities, as well as Shell Energy Stadium and Houston Sports Park.  
 
The Club has a rich history, including MLS Cup titles (2006, 2007) and in-season tournament championships for both the Dynamo (2018) and Dash (2020) and is focused on building toward the next championships, inspiring and uniting the city of Houston through the sport of soccer and community outreach, and creating the most inclusive sporting experience and diverse fan base in the city and state. 

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Director, Game Presentation will be primarily responsible for the oversight, development, management and execution of first-in-class game day and event experiences for the team and special events at our facilities. This role provides a strategic steward of the team’s identity to our fans, and brings foresight, innovation and a constant desire to improve ideas and deliverables. They will be responsible for creating, implementing, and executing the creative vision of in-stadium and live event experiences for all Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash home matches.  

The Director will also be responsible for building all programming, scripts, run of shows, and content for all events for the team, and some events booked at Shell Energy Stadium, including some college football games. 
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee day-to-day department business operations, programs and initiatives including MLS & NWSL games, special events and promotions
  • Serve as lead producer and direct all Houston Dynamo & Dash home games at Shell Energy Stadium
  • Oversee, develop, and manage scripts, rundowns, timing sheets, and game inventory
  • Develop game experience elements (concerts, fan interaction elements, etc.)
  • Manage pre-production, live production, operations, and creative direction with respect to the team game experience
  • Interface with special effects vendors 
  • Develop creative and engaging content and execute top-quality fan experiences at every home match and live event
  • Work closely with Dynamo & Dash partnerships team to develop and manage game inventory and activation assets, and promotions at games/events
  • Supervise, direct, and develop Game Presentation staff
  • Collaborate with all internal departments to create, develop, and execute brand-focused initiatives in-stadium during games and live events
  • Play a creative development role in the development and execution of team-related non-game day events (Jersey Unveiling, FanFest, Season Kick Off, Open Practice, etc.)
  • Liaison with Shell Energy Stadium production, including collaboration on part-time game day staff requirements
  • Help execute and manage game experience elements (anthems, pre-game guests, etc.)
 
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of related work experience in game/event management, live event production, talent management and/or production management
  • Knowledge & understanding of production principles pertaining to video/graphic production, lighting, audio/sound production, and implementation of special effects
  • Experience with script writing and production timing/rundown execution
  • Managerial experience, including direct supervision of part-time and/or full-time staff, hiring, training, assigning projects/duties, appraising performance, rewarding and/or disciplining employees, addressing issues and complaints, and solving problems
  • Prior professional sports experience highly preferred
