COMPANY BACKGROUND 
The Houston Dynamo Football Club (HDFC) is a multi-faceted organization dedicated to inspiring and supporting soccer participation and growth in Houston, TX and beyond. The Club’s brands include men's and women's professional teams - the Houston Dynamo (MLS) and Houston Dash (NWSL), a development academy, Dynamo & Dash Charities, as well as Shell Energy Stadium and Houston Sports Park. 

The Club has a rich history, including MLS Cup titles (2006, 2007) and in-season tournament championships for both the Dynamo (2018) and Dash (2020) and is focused on building toward the next championships, inspiring and uniting the city of Houston through the sport of soccer and community outreach, and creating the most inclusive sporting experience and diverse fan base in the city and state. 

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This role owns the strategy and execution of digital marketing channels (email, web, app, SMS) to drive ticket revenue and fan engagement. The role leads relationships with paid media agencies and is accountable for campaign performance and ROI.
This role is not organic social media, content creation, video production, or graphic design but will work closely with these teams to ideate what is needed for our teams’ needs.  
The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented with experience in creating, reviewing, and editing copy for digital marketing campaigns, including and especially email marketing copy.  
Prior experience in MLS or MLB, or using FORGE or Deltatre preferred. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead messaging strategy and oversee email/web copy to ensure brand consistency and conversion performance 
  • Own the planning, execution, and performance of integrated digital marketing campaigns across website, mobile app, email, sms and paid advertising channels to drive ticket sales, engagement, and brand awareness 
  • Own digital channel revenue performance, including ticket sales, conversion rates, and ROI 
  • Manage external media agencies, including strategy alignment, budget allocation, performance optimization, and accountability to KPIs  
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with ticketing, partnerships, and brand teams to develop data-driven messaging and campaigns 
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and tight deadlines  
  • Utilize audience segmentation and retargeting strategies to enhance fan engagement and ticketing revenue  
  • Other duties as assigned  

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Marketing, Business, Digital Media, or related field  
  • 3-6 years demonstrated experience in digital marketing, email marketing, or web authoring, preferably in sports or entertainment – knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud a plus 
  • 3-6 years of experience using content management systems for web/mobile app content  
  • Solid knowledge and use of measurement tools, including website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)  
  • Experience managing paid campaigns across Facebook Ads, Google Ads, and other digital platforms is a plus 
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, comfort with ambiguity, ability to manage change, and balance competing/evolving priorities  
  • Proven experience simultaneously managing multiple projects and timelines  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) required; working knowledge of Adobe Suite (e.g., Photoshop) helpful  
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including home matches, evenings, weekends, and some holidays as needed

  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns and meet short deadlines in a fast-paced environment  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
  • Effective collaboration and communication across departments and with external partners  
  • Passion for sports and fan engagement, with understanding of soccer culture and fan behavior a plus
