COMPANY BACKGROUND
The Houston Dynamo Football Club (HDFC) is a multi-faceted organization dedicated to inspiring and supporting soccer participation and growth in Houston, TX and beyond. The Club’s brands include men's and women's professional teams - the Houston Dynamo (MLS) and Houston Dash (NWSL), a development academy, Houston Dynamo Dash Charities, as well as Shell Energy Stadium and Houston Sports Park.  
 
The Club has a rich history, including MLS Cup titles (2006, 2007) and in-season tournament championships for both the Dynamo (2018) and Dash (2020) and is focused on building toward the next championships, inspiring and uniting the city of Houston through the sport of soccer and community outreach, and creating the most inclusive sporting experience and diverse fan base in the city and state.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Houston Dynamo FC, Houston Dash, and Shell Energy Stadium are seeking a highly creative and strategically minded Commercial Designer to join the Revenue Team. This individual will serve as the visual engine behind the Club’s commercial storytelling, translating partnership concepts, brand opportunities, and sales strategies into world-class presentations, visuals, and design assets.
 
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Partnerships, this role collaborates closely with the Sponsorship, Premium Sales, Ticketing, and Events teams to deliver compelling materials that inspire brands, elevate pitches, and drive revenue growth across all business verticals.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design visually engaging sponsorship proposals, renewal decks, and recap materials that bring brand partnerships to life.
  • Create premium and ticketing sales collateral, including one-sheets, experiential maps, mockups, and campaign visuals.
  • Develop brand-aligned presentations for executive and board meetings, highlighting commercial strategy and results. 
  • Build concept visuals and mockups for in-stadium signage, activations, digital integrations, and hospitality spaces. 
  • Maintain brand consistency across all visual materials and ensure alignment with Dynamo FC, Dash, and Shell Energy Stadium identity standards. 
  • Work closely with Sponsorship Strategy, Marketing, and Events teams to align visual narratives with campaign goals. 
  • Support Ticketing & Premium Sales team with creative tools that enhance storytelling for prospects and renewals.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure that revenue-related creative work fits within the overall brand and campaign frameworks. 
  • Partner with Community Engagement and CSR team to visualize programs that connect sponsors with impact initiatives. 
  • Contribute to the evolution of a centralized sales design library with templates, logos, photos, and design assets.
  • Stay current on sports marketing trends, sponsorship design best practices, and brand presentation techniques.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing short-term requests with long-term creative initiatives. 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field. 
  • 3–5 years of professional design experience (sports, agency, or brand-side preferred). 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop); strong PowerPoint/Keynote design skills essential. 
  • Proven ability to translate complex business concepts into compelling visual stories. 
  • High attention to detail, strong typography and layout skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. 
  • Familiarity with sports marketing, sponsorship assets, and commercial design standards is strongly preferred.
