Hometown Soccer Holdings (HSH) is building a portfolio of locally rooted MLS NEXT Pro clubs, each deeply embedded in its community and built to create lasting connections with fans. As HSH grows its footprint across the country, the organization is investing in the consumer products infrastructure needed to turn club pride into a tangible, revenue-generating fan experience. The Merchandise Manager will serve as the enterprise merchandise leader responsible for building the strategies, systems, and operational frameworks that power a cohesive, scalable consumer products business across every HSH club market.

Reporting to the VP, Marketing, this leader will develop consumer products strategy, oversee retail and e-commerce operations, and manage the league and partner relationships that govern how HSH clubs bring merchandise to market. The Merchandise Manager will serve as both a strategic planner and a hands-on operator, working closely with club marketing teams, the Adidas partnership, MLS licensing, and external vendors to ensure every club's merchandise program is on-brand, commercially sound, and built to deepen fan connection.

This is a compelling opportunity for a commercially minded, operationally savvy merchandise professional to help build the consumer products function of a growing multi-club organization. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in sports or consumer merchandise, a strong command of retail and e-commerce operations, and a genuine passion for soccer and sports.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and own the enterprise consumer products strategy, including assortment planning, product development, pricing, and go-to-market approaches across all HSH clubs.
  • Oversee retail operations across club markets, establishing operational standards, inventory management processes, and vendor relationships that support consistent, high-quality execution.
  • Manage MLS licensing coordination, ensuring all HSH club merchandise programs are compliant with league requirements and positioned to maximize licensed product opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary HSH point of contact for Adidas, managing the partnership relationship, kit and product timelines, co-branded opportunities, and contract compliance.
  • Build and lead e-commerce strategy across HSH club online stores, including platform management, product assortment, promotional planning, and performance optimization.
  • Develop merchandise playbooks and operational toolkits that enable local club teams to execute consistently and efficiently across all aspects of their merchandise programs.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sponsorship, and Club Relations teams to ensure merchandise efforts are integrated with broader fan engagement, brand, and revenue initiatives.
  • Build scalable processes, operational frameworks, and best practices that support club merchandise operations and position HSH for continued portfolio growth.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
You Have These:
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in merchandise, consumer products, or retail operations, with experience managing multi-site or multi-brand programs preferred.
  • Strong expertise in consumer products strategy, including assortment planning, product development, and retail or e-commerce go-to-market execution.
  • Experience managing licensed merchandise programs, ideally within a sports league or team environment.
  • Familiarity with the Adidas partnership ecosystem or comparable global sportswear brand relationships strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing e-commerce operations, including platform oversight, digital merchandising, and performance reporting.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple vendor relationships, product timelines, and club-level priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience in sports, entertainment, or consumer brand environments strongly preferred.
