Reporting organizationally to the Head of Accreditation, the Senior Manager Accreditation System and Application Management will be a key member of the FIFA26 Accreditation team, and work in close collaboration with the FIFA Zurich Accreditation department (consisting of team members from across the world including Swiss-German, German, Russian and Dutch backgrounds) responsible for delivering the FWC26 Accreditation operations.  

THE POSITION

The main responsibilities and oversights of the Senior Manager Accreditation System and Application Management for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:  
  • Represent the Accreditation department in all technology-related issues when appropriate.
  • Supervise a dedicated team of Accreditation System and Application Management Managers and Coordinators.
  • Support the Accreditation department in developing and implementing business processes, particularly in relation to the processing of participant data through the various stages of their accreditation journey.
  • Review and refine the accreditation system functional specifications and associated documentation ensuring that they represent the needs of the FWC26 accreditation registration.
  • Liaise with FIFA Zurich (Accreditation and Technology) to ensure consistency in accreditation system planning and delivery in all host countries in line with FIFA requirements, regulations and standards and to ensure the efficient integration of different systems that will feed the FIFA Accreditation System. 
  • Communicate with internal and external client groups and individuals on accreditation system processes and device training sessions for the core users on the relevant system including train-the-trainer sessions. 
  • Represent the FIFA26 Accreditation department in the Background Check Working Group and the technical subgroup of this working group and secure the effective integration in the tournament planning and delivery. 
  • Lead the background check process for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ and any ancillary events where such process is in operation. 
  • Create and collate the accreditation reports before, during and after the tournament.

YOUR PROFILE
  • Master’s degree or equivalent.
  • If experience is compensating, lower degree is welcome to apply.
  • Football (soccer) accreditation knowledge.
  • FIFA accreditation processes and FIFA Accreditation System knowledge is a plus. 
  • Effective interpersonal communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Absolute attention to detail.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • 4 or more years of experience in event accreditation.
  • FIFA tournament accreditation experience.
  • Single-sport, multi-venue event experience.
  • Experience in the Event Technology sector, preferably with data management / accreditation systems.
  • Experience and knowledge in working with government security agencies for the planning and coordination of sharing data for the background check purposes of World Cup attendees. 
  • Experience in working in a multi-cultural team as well as communicating within a multi-cultural organization.
  • Experience in working across different time zones.
  • Experience in and being comfortable with working in multi-lingual environments.
  • Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus. 
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Miro & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools.
  • Proficient in Event Management Applications, particularly in Event Accreditation Applications is a plus.
