THE POSITION Main activities and responsibilities
Reporting organisationally to the Director of Operational Services and working in close collaboration with the Senior Manager Distribution, the Regional Manager Distribution will be a key member of the FIFA26 Logistics team, and work in close collaboration with FIFA Zurich key collaborators and other key individuals. This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the distribution logistics operations in their designated region to ensure seamless and cost-effective transportation, timely delivery, and high service standards within venues including stadiums, airports, team base camp training sites and team base camp hotels assigned to their region.
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Regional Manager Distribution Logistics for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:
- Act as the lead representative for FIFA functions and external stakeholders for Distribution Logistics operations across all regional operations, including the transportation of goods from warehouses to venues, between venues, and back to storage locations in different Transportation Modes (Air, Land and Sea).
- Implement distribution processes in alignment with the overall strategy established by the Senior Manager, ensuring efficient, secure, and cost-effective deliveries.
- Contribute to the Venue Delivery Guide for publication to all FIFA Client Groups.
- Collaborate with the Venue Logistics, Material Planning, Warehousing, and Customs workstreams to coordinate and fulfill all regional move orders, managing the flow of materials to meet regional venue requirements from warehouses to venues, venue-to-venue and venue to warehouse. Remain in constant communication with Venue Logistics team to ensure the needs of the venue and functional areas are being met in a timely manner.
- Ensure all distribution activities adhere to municipal, provincial, and federal regulations, including compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Manage real-time tracking of shipments within the region, overseeing the use of tracking tools to monitor performance and provide updates to the Senior Manager and Logistics Coordination Center.
- Conduct post-delivery audits, verify documentation accuracy, and report on key metrics such as delivery times, safety adherence, and cost efficiency.
- Lead in analyzing supply chain data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for optimization, providing actionable insights to the Logistics team.
- Generate regular and ad hoc reports on Logistics planning progress, budgets, and logistics to support management decisions, including daily/weekly logistics situational reporting.
- Communicate delivery “volume / pallet / vehicle standards” across Logistics function
- Assist in the management of receipt, storage, distribution, resupply, and recovery of FWC2026 assets and equipment at the Warehouse(s)
- Support with implementation of technological solutions and digital platforms to streamline logistical processes, enhance tracking, and improve real-time communication.
- In conjunction with the LSP, conduct safety audits on multi-leveled distribution activities and verify the daily implementation of safety related procedures are communicated and followed.
- Participate in the Logistics Coordination Center ensuring high level of support for Distribution processes during tournament time.
- Ensure health, safety, and well-being of all team members, including compliance with safety standards and protocols.
- Work with the Senior Manager to determine optimal delivery routes, scheduling, and vehicle utilization to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
- Supervise the planning and testing of regional delivery routes, factoring in venue locations, traffic conditions, and timing constraints.
- Implement and oversee the secure delivery of goods to and from venues in conjunction with regional Security Team.
- Participate in regional logistics meetings, providing updates on distribution progress, challenges, and performance metrics.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to address and resolve any logistical issues impacting distribution operations.
- In conjunction with the Regional Transportation team, oversee the application of tournament delivery routes inclusive of venue-to-venue routes, and delivery drive times and other metrics involving routes to venues.
- Actively participate in developing strategic plans to fulfil FWC2026 sustainability commitments and goals.
- Participate in outreach programs, as required, intended to educate stakeholders on tournament time operations.
- Act as first point of contact for Logistics if travelling or based in alternative location.
- Travel within Canada, to the US and/or Mexico may be required to reflect the business needs of the department (meetings, workshops, site visits, other Events, etc).
- This role requires you to be onsite 5 days a week (Monday-Friday) at our Vancouver Office.

Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or similar level of education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, etc.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management or a related field in logistics, distribution, or transportation management, with a proven track record of operational success in large-scale events or similar environments with a solid understanding of Can-Mex-U.S. transportation regulations and best practices in distribution logistics.
- Team player with a strong customer-service focus, comfortable across all levels of communication and a desire to go the extra mile.
- Ability to present and clearly communicate to audiences in a multitude of public/private settings as required.
- Proven track record in managing complex projects, multi-tasking, and prioritization of tasks and deliverables.
- Willing to work to complex, tight, immovable timelines while maintaining a positive attitude, exhibiting patience, persistence and experience working in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment.
- Excellent analytical skills, ability to make decisions both independently and within a team environment.
