Reporting organizationally to the Director Infrastructure and Technical Service, the Training Site Infrastructure Manager will be a key member of the FIFA26 Infrastructure & Technical Services team and other key individuals responsible for delivering World class Training facilities to teams and referees.  

THE POSITION

The main responsibilities and oversights of the Manager, Training Site Infrastructure for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include: 
  • Ensure specifications, space and area allocations are developed in compliance with the FIFA requirements and fit for purpose 
  • Monitoring Refurbishment & Upgrade Program and Overlay deliverable timelines to ensure all Training Sites are ready for the participating Teams when they arrive  
  • Organizing and participating in regular review meetings to discuss the delivery and readiness of Training Sites with all external and internal stakeholders 
  • Overseeing the handover and handback of all Training Sites for the tournament period
  • Working with Training Site Authorities and their Facility Management Services provider to ensure that the Training Sites are maintained at the appropriate standards during the use period
  • Ensure all furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) requested is provided and set-up in accordance to what has been spaced planned on the site and floorplan drawings of Training Sites
  • Working with the Venue Design team to ensure alignment between Tournament Requirement data and Venue Design Maps and Drawings
  • Working with FIFA Team Service to align on Training Site selection process and collaboration on delivering infrastructural readiness of all Training Sites
  • Ensuring internal alignment within the department between Pitch Management, Design, Overlay and Engineering and acting as Key Account Manager to involved Functional Areas

YOUR PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a coordination role, within an international sporting event, ideally at a large football event such as FIFA Tournament and/or Confederation Tournaments (CONCACAF, CONMEBOL, AFC, UEFA, etc.), is a plus
  • Strong and dynamic interpersonal, leadership and communication skills with an ability to maintain focus in a high pressure and fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to successfully prioritize, implement, and manage complex projects from inception through to completion well within prescribed time frames and budget
  • Proven contract management and procurement process experience
  • Ability to read and summarize maps & drawings and renovation/upgrade project plans
  • Reliable and committed to meeting quality standards and deadlines, good planning and anticipation, focus on efficient implementation, follow up after completion and assume responsibility for own actions
  • Driver’s license
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural and international environment
  • Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
  • Or similar project management planning software
