Reporting organisationally to the Regional Director, Non-Competition Sites, the Manager, Team Base Camp Security will be a key member of the FIFA26 Safety & Security team. The Team Base Camp Manager is a critical role within the Safety & Security organization, responsible to support the planning, coordination, and operational management of designated Team Base Camps. This position is responsible for seamless delivery of security services and compliance with organizational standards across multiple locations not covered by existing Senior Managers in Host City Regions or States. The role demands exceptional project management capabilities and operational leadership to guarantee site readiness and performance during tournament time. All candidates must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and be willing to work long hours and be on call 24/7 during the tournament

THE POSITION
The main responsibilities and oversights include:  
  • Planning & Alignment
    • Support respective directors during the planning phase and deliver against established KPIs
    • Develop and maintain planning requirements for all Team Base Camps under the manager’s scope
    • Ensure contract delivery for security services at all Team Base Camps within assigned responsibility
  • Onboarding & Training
    • Lead onboarding and training programs for all Team Base Camps Specialists under the manager’s ownership and scope
  • Operational Management
    • Serve as the operational command and control point for assigned Team Base Camps during tournament time
    • Coordinate all security operational activities across assigned Team Base Camps during tournament time
    • Facilitate Safety & Security Operations Center (SSOC) daily coordination updates for assigned sites during tournament time
  • Reporting & Incident Management
    • Build and maintain reports on all issues and incidents occurring at assigned Team Base Camps during tournament time
    • Remotely coordinate incident resolution through SSOC escalation and collaborate across functional areas, as applicable
    • Validate and record resource usage at Team Base Camps to support central auditing processes

Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field associated with safety, security and/or project management. 
Work Experience
  • A minimum 5 years of experience in managing safety, security, policy development, and event management
  • Proven experience in security and project management, with the ability to manage complex, multi-site operations under tight timelines
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate across multiple stakeholders
  • Multiple years experience with operational planning and delivery
  • Proficiency in the use of technology, including reporting and incident management systems
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments, make critical decisions quickly, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders
  • Familiarity with safety and security protocols
  • Safety and security experience in tournaments considered a plus
Languages
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
Technology
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
