Reporting organizationally to the FIFA26 Inc. Director of Infrastructure and Technical Services, the Manager, Overlay Project Coordination will be a key member of the FIFA26 Overlay team, and work in close collaboration with the Maps & Drawings team and Infrastructure team.


THE POSITION
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Manager, Overlay Project Coordination for the FIFA World Cup 2026 include:

· Maintain an overall view and provide clear communication with the stadiums to ensure FIFA delivery timelines inclusive of monitoring schedules for stadium construction / renovation plans, etc.

· Managing and streamlining the technical requirements from FIFA Functional Areas and facility authorities for implementation in Stadia and Training Sites.

· Key interface between Design team, Overlay Planning team, Procurement, and Project Management team and Finance Department.

· Ensuring all FAs requirements are obtained, captured, and processed in design and bill of quantity and financially addressed.

· Managing and maintaining Roles & Responsibility matrices

· Managing Overlay Master Programme

· Project managing the Technical Information flow for all sites and creating reports and dashboards of all sites related activities.

· Overlay Cluster management – daily management of Overlay cluster managers.

· Ensuring overlay compliance to law, FIFA requirements and local jurisdiction.

· Establish priorities and allocate resources, to oversee FIFA’s procurement and delivery partner.

· Identify temporary infrastructure related issues and liaise directly with FIFA FAs and Stakeholders during the procurement process.

· Manage the change management directives per the Change Management Committee for the respective cluster.

· Lead Overlay Cluster teams and manage execution of the project scope of work.

 · Review costs related to supplier submissions and overall procurement process.

 · Manage departmental budget, actuals and create quarterly forecasts. 

· Evaluate cost effective substitutions for recommendations based on the local market for each respective venue location. 

· Provide intermediate milestone reviews of actual costs to monitor and assess against original baseline estimates. 

· Work with the procurement and delivery teams to confirm the timely delivery of commodities and various build solutions to meet cost estimates. Report on any variances and resolution. 

· Work with site teams to closely monitor performance as well as variations in order to maintain financial deliverables and resolve any deficiencies in real time.

YOUR PROFILE
· Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferably in Engineering, Architecture or other domains.

· Great understanding of the technical complexity of a stadium with additional World Cup needs.

· A minimum of 3 years of Football World Cup Life cycles working or liaising with one or more functional areas as listed above or similar elite sporting event.

· Minimum 5 years or more in infrastructural projects or Overlay/Technical Service roles in Major Events for a Sporting Organization.

· Minimum 3 years or more FIFA World Cup or other similar major Football tournaments experiences. 

· Minimum 2 years of managing and leading teams and staff with different backgrounds and skill sets.

· Fluent in English

· Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus

· Knowledge of sequence logic along with means and methods of construction management.

· Ability to help create and ensure operations are carried out to control costs while maximizing value.

· Ability to maintain a high level of quality while ensuring maximum efficiencies are achieved due to the expedited workflow anticipated.

· Ability to work as part of integrated delivery team recommending actions to achieve outstanding performance.

· Proficient in MS Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project)

· Planning software and online collaboration tools: MS Project, Planner, Trello, or other Project Management Tools.

· Miro Board, Whiteboard, Figma

· Autodesk applications (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, etc.)
