THE POSITION
Reporting organisationally to the Fan Operations Venue Manager, the Last Mile Supervisor will be a key member of the FIFA26 Fan Operations team, and work in close collaboration with other key individuals responsible for delivering a seamless fan experience from the Last Mile to the Stadium. 
 
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Last Mile Supervisor for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:   
  • Responsible for the match day management of assigned Fan Operations Volunteers including being the first point of contact for questions, coordinating deployments and breaks, ensuring their welfare as well as collecting and providing feedback 
  • Provide regular reports and updates to Fan Operations Venue Manager regarding the performance and status of the Last Mile operations and volunteers 
  • Champion a dynamic culture where volunteers feel empowered, energized, and excited to contribute each match day 
  • Observe crowd flows at Transport Hubs and Last Mile pedestrian walkways and raise issues accordingly. Communicate necessary action to volunteers 
  • Communicate effectively with fans, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues and maintain positive relationships 
  • Provide clear information and wayfinding to fans entering the stadium and assist with issue resolution  
  • Aid volunteers in communicating policies to ensure a more fan friendly journey into the stadium 
  • Support the overall planning, implementation and operational process for the Last Mile

Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Must be available for all matches at the venue 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Familiarity with security regulations and best practices 
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and handle challenging situations with tact and professionalism 
  • Team player with a strong customer-service focus, comfortable across all levels of communication with a desire to go the extra mile 
Work Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role within event opeations services or related department 
  • Proven track record of effectively leading and managing teams, experience managing volunteers is an asset  
  • Experience working and collaborating with large teams 
Languages
  • Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus 
Technology
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools.

PAY INFORMATION
In accordance with California' s Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, the pay range for this position is $28 per hour. This estimate is based on this position being performed in California, and the range may not apply to similar positions in other locations. In determining actual base pay, FIFA 26 considers candidate education, experience, and other job-related factors allowed by law. An employee’s position within the salary range will be determined by various factors, including relevant education, experience, qualifications, certifications, skills, geographic location, performance metrics, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business needs.
