Nature of Work:
In collaboration with the Denver Summit FC, the Video Coach is a critical member of the coaching staff, responsible for providing in-depth video analysis and data-driven insights to support tactical planning and player development. This is a non-coaching role on the field, focused entirely on technical and analytical support. The ideal candidate will have a strong coaching background and a passion for using technology to enhance performance.
Examples of work performed:
- Video Capture: Capture high-quality video footage of all training sessions, scrimmages, and competitive matches.
- Video Analysis: Utilize video analysis software (e.g., Hudl, SportsCode, etc.) to break down team and individual player performance.
- Data-Driven Insights: Analyze video footage in conjunction with performance data to identify tactical trends, opponent strengths, and areas for improvement.
- Report Generation: Prepare and organize detailed video clips, highlight reels, and data reports for review by the head coach and technical staff.
- Player & Team Evaluation: Present video evaluations and performance analysis to individual players, small groups, and the entire team in a clear and engaging manner.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the coaching staff to align video analysis with training objectives and game-day strategies.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
- Lift 50 lbs. daily
- Must be able to stand, sit, walk, bend, kneel, climb, grasp, stretch, stoop, and reach above head in conjunction with tasks for up to 8 hours per day
- Must be able to work in a moderate to very loud environment
- Ability and willingness to work in all types of adverse weather conditions (i.e. heat, rain, cold, snow, wind)
Qualifications:
Minimum
- Demonstrated experience in a coaching or performance analysis capacity, preferably with a strong understanding of team tactics and player development.
- Advanced knowledge of video analysis software and data management systems.
- Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex analytical findings to a variety of audiences, from players to coaching staff.
- Meticulous and highly organized, with the ability to manage large volumes of video and data.
- Ability to pass NWSL background check
- Ability to work outside of normal working hours such as evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the team’s schedule
- Ability to travel extensively, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate training and match schedules.
- Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire
Preferred
- Possession of relevant coaching licenses (e.g., USSF, UEFA, etc.).
- Possess a strong understanding of NWSL playing styles, players, rules and protocols.

- Outstanding knowledge of the sport and detailed understanding of current and developing tactics, coaching methods, analytics and training methods
- Ability to identify problems and their root causes, and to develop and recommend effective solutions
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions using sound judgment
- Able to work constructively and positively in supporting colleagues and all aspects of club development and success
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and video analysis software (Hudl, SportsCode, etc.)
- Demonstrated qualities of honesty, integrity, credibility, and solid work ethic
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to problem solve
- Possess exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize/multi-task
- Be a positive ambassador of Denver Summit FC and the game
Compensation:
- Base salary range $80,000 - $100,000 per annum
- Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
