Nature of Work:
We're looking for a Director of Business Intelligence to lead our data strategy and insights as we build our expansion sports team from the ground up. In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for all revenue-related metrics, playing a critical part in our success across the organization. You'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of data, from developing our data warehouse to creating actionable reports and dashboards. We're looking for a leader who is both strategic and hands-on, able to dictate the long-term data vision while also getting into the weeds with the data. Examples of work performed:
  • Own the Business Intelligence function: You will be responsible for all revenue metrics and reporting across the organization, including ticketing, marketing, stadium operations, and finance.
  • Develop data strategy: Define and implement our data strategy, ensuring that our data infrastructure and reporting capabilities align with our business goals.
  • Lead data analytics and reporting: Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports that provide clear, actionable insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Architect our data environment: Oversee the design and development of our Snowflake data warehouse, ensuring it is efficient, scalable, and secure.
  • Create data visualizations: Utilize ThoughtSpot to create compelling and interactive visualizations that make complex data easy to understand for non-technical users.
  • Be a hands-on contributor: While you'll be leading the BI function, you'll also be a technical expert, comfortable with SQL and other data manipulation languages to query and analyze data directly.
  • Drive insights: Translate data into meaningful insights and recommendations that inform business decisions and drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate across teams: Partner with our ticketing, marketing, finance, and stadium operations teams to understand their data needs and deliver tailored solutions.

Qualifications:
Minimum
  • BS/BA degree. 
  • 3-5 years of direct Business Intelligence/analytics leadership experience.
  • 5-10 years of overall related experience.
  • Proven experience in a senior business intelligence or data leadership role.
  • Deep expertise with data warehousing concepts and hands-on experience with Snowflake.
  • Strong technical skills, including expert-level SQL.
  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred
  • BS/BA degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science or related field. 
  • Experience in the sports, media, or entertainment industry. 
  • Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Python).
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools, with direct experience using ThoughtSpot.

Compensation:
  • Base salary range $110,000-$135,000
  • Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
