JOB SUMMARY
The DC Power FC Marketing Department is looking for a talented and enthusiastic undergraduate or graduate student aspiring to enter the sports marketing industry to join us as the Social Media Intern for Spring 2026. This internship will allow you to learn about all club content and communication efforts, collaborate with multiple department teams, and learn essential social media practices for your professional growth to gain meaningful career experience.

Compensation:
This is an unpaid internship. Candidates must be earning course credit at an accredited college or university to qualify.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·         Assist with social content ideation, creation, and copywriting.
·         Assist with real-time coverage on matchdays, training and other events.
·         Research trends and topics in the sports and entertainment industry to create content that fits our strategy.
·         Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
·         Experience with managing social media and capturing content is a must.
·         Eligible to receive college credit for the internship.
·         Dedicate a maximum of 25 hours a week to the internship from September 2025 to early December 2025.
·         Pursuing a college degree, preferably in communications, marketing, multimedia, or related field.
·         Experience in sports and soccer is a plus.
·         Work may require matchday, weekends, and/or evening work.
·         The selected candidate must pass a background screen.
 

COMPETENCIES (KSAs)
·         High-level expertise in social media.
·         Excellent oral and written communication.
·         Ability to manage multiple accounts.
·         Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Lightroom etc.)
·         Experience in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
·         Ability to succeed in team-oriented and independent project environments.
·         Demonstrate a high level of detail-orientation, especially under deadline pressure.
·         Coachable, hardworking, multi-tasking, and positive attitude. Maintain confidential information.
