Internship Summary:
D.C. United is a professional soccer club based in Washington, D.C. The club competes as a member of the Eastern Conference in Major League Soccer.  

The D.C. United Ticket Sales & Service team is looking for talented undergraduate or graduate students aspiring to enter the sports industry to join us as interns for the Fall semester of 2022.

D.C. United Sales Interns will be introduced to the sales world with the goal of helping you launch your career within the sales industry and helping fulfill an internship requisite. As a Sales Intern, you will establish an understanding of the sales process, be introduced to the sales industry, and gain real-life sales experience!

* Note: This internship will be a hybrid in person and virtual model aligned with the DCU Full Time Staffing schedule. Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s will be in person at DCU offices located at Audi Field. All other days, excluding any game days, will be virtual. Ability to work matches on site is required to be considered for this position.

Requirements:
  • Eligible to receive college credit for internship
  • Dedicate at least 25 hours a week to the internship from August to November 2022
  • Experience in sports is a plus
  • Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
  • Ability to work match days\ Ability to work flexible schedule inclusive of evenings and weekends

Competencies (KSAs):
  • Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Coachable, hardworking, multi-tasking, and positive attitude
  • Ability to effectively interact with staff and clients
  • Willingness to work grassroots marketing events offsite
  • Represent D.C. United in a positive image
  • Must display organization and communicative skills
  • Proficient in Spanish is a plus, but not required
