WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
D.C. United is looking for a strategic, driven, and inspiring leader to join our ticketing leadership team as Manager of New Business Sales. This role is ideal for a sales professional with a proven track record in sports who’s ready to take the next step: leading, mentoring, and recruiting top talent while developing bold strategies to grow our season ticket base and expand our fan community.

We’re not looking for a manager—we’re looking for a builder. A creator. Someone who can lead from the front, foster a culture of accountability and high performance, and be a central force in shaping the future of our fan experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead, coach, and inspire the New Business sales team to exceed individual and department goals across full season, partial plan, and group ticket sales.
  • Design and execute an annual and in-season sales strategy to drive season ticket growth, while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Actively recruit and onboard top-tier sales talent, while developing a clear path for internal growth and professional development.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align sales tactics with broader organizational goals around revenue, attendance, and fan engagement.
  • Analyze team performance and pipeline data using CRM and sales reporting tools; adjust strategy as needed to drive conversion and retention.
  • Champion a fan-first approach—ensuring that every interaction reflects the values of D.C. United and the energy of Audi Field.

WHO YOU ARE:
A leader with 3+ years of proven sales experience in sports, live entertainment, or a related field.
  • Passionate about sales process and culture, and motivated by seeing your team win.
  • Experience selling C2C and developing plans to reach the corporate community
  • Confident recruiting and training entry-level sellers, and experienced in building a strong internal sales pipeline.
  • A creative thinker who can turn big-picture goals into actionable strategies.
  • Skilled in using CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and ticketing platforms (Ticketmaster Archtics preferred).
  • Comfortable working non-traditional hours (nights, weekends, matchdays).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience managing or mentoring a team
  • Deep understanding of outbound sales techniques and customer lifecycle strategy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • The selected candidate must pass a background check.
