Position Summary
The D.C. United Business Strategy & Analytics team is seeking talented undergraduate and graduate students who aspire to build careers in the sports industry to join us as Summer 2026 interns.

The program is designed to develop foundational skills in sports business analytics, fulfill academic internship requirements, and prepare for future careers in the industry. Interns will work with diverse datasets, learn how to translate data into compelling insights and narratives, and gain hands-on, real-world experience supporting strategic decision-making within the organization.

Essential Functions
·       Assist in creating data visualizations, reports, surveys, and ad-hoc research tasks
·       Support analytics initiatives by working with ticketing, digital marketing, and partnerships datasets
·       Represent D.C. United in a professional and positive manner
·       Commit to a total of thirty (30) hours per week for the duration of the internship, May 2026 – August 2026

Qualifications
·       Demonstrates key qualities such as coachability, a strong work ethic, the ability to multitask, and a positive attitude
·       Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal staff and external clients
·       Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
·       Must be an actively enrolled college student and eligible to receive academic credit for the internship
·       Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
·       Familiarity with data visualization tools and coding languages (e.g., Tableau, SQL, R, Python) is preferred but not required

The selected candidate must be able to successfully pass a background check.

Compensation
  • This internship is unpaid, and candidates must be eligible to receive academic credit to be considered
