Position Summary:
The Performance Coach is responsible for contributing to the design and leading the delivery of the daily practices implemented within the gym, supporting the conditioning approaches pitch side and within testing, data and monitoring strategies. All of which will be inline with departmental strategy and philosophy, aligning to the football and club philosophy, and in consultation with the Head Performance Coach. Key responsibilities include; team preparation for training and games, contributing to the design and driving the delivery of the conditioning programming and aligning testing and monitoring practices to the data strategy for tracking, monitoring and reporting progress of individuals and the team within all aspects of Human Performance. In addition to this you will be required to contribute to the planning and delivery of rehabilitation within the gym and on the pitch, in consultation with the human performance team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Delivery of a high standard, promoting high performance provision within the football performance team. Promoting best practice in every aspect of your work.
· Develop data tracking and monitoring approaches that align with the Human Performance Department data strategy and align with the football data strategy of the club.
· Work closely with the Performance Data Scientist to align data collected through monitoring and testing practices, to ensure alignment to the club and departmental data strategy.
· Provide detailed presentations to the Human Performance Department and Head Performance Coach on key findings with the data collected and how these inform the design and delivery of daily training practices.
· Lead the design and delivery gym-based strength and conditioning sessions, driving innovative and best practice aligned with the football philosophy.
· Lead the design and delivery of team preparation for training and games.
· Contribute to the development of injury risk reduction strategies within the department to optimize player availability and performance.
· Supervise the physical performance and testing of all players and provide efficient reporting streams to the Human Performance Department
· Liaise with the Head Performance Coach with regards team logistics, planning and short-medium- and long-term training strategies and apply these principles when considering the design and delivery of individual and team training plans. Within the gym and pitch sessions.
· Contribute to the identification of individual KPI’s for players and collaboratively work with the Human Performance Team to enhance daily delivery with a focus of achieving these KPI’s.
· In consultation with the Head Performance Coach, deliver educational sessions for individuals and the Human Performance Team, to feedback best practice within all aspects of Human Performance

· Willingness to attend training courses to enhance own professional development.
Desired Skills:
· Proficiency with AMS platforms
· Understanding of rehabilitation approaches to optimize the athletes return to play
· Ability to travel to all away matches and other trips with the team;
· Ability to speak Spanish is preferred, but not required.
Essential:
· Certified Performance and Sport Scientist (CPSS)
· Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
· HIPAA compliance Course and Health Information Certification required.
· CPR and AED certification
· Minimum 3 years experience with athletes in an elite level sports environment, preferably including soccer Players. Elite level sports experience is working in a high tempo, integrated, and inter-disciplinary medical support team that includes direct involvement in collegiate, professional, Olympic, tactical (e.g., Special Forces, Service Academies), performance (e.g., Cirque du Soleil, Performing Arts) or equivalent environments.
