Columbus Crew is seeking a Senior Director, Stadium Operations that will be responsible for the daily activities required to run, maintain and service Lower.Com Field, Historic Crew Stadium and Ohio Health Performance Center.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct and supervises all aspects of Facility and Stadium Operations Team
- Assist in the direction of proper training for all appropriate operations teams on building management and safety.
- Develop, manage, and update department policies and procedures.
o Work with City and State officials to ensure compliance with codes and other protocols.
o Manage, monitor, and execute all necessary building inspections. - Oversight and management of Stadium Operations contracts and service agreements.
o Housekeeping, logistics, waste management, elevator services, pest control, fire safety, stadium snow removal, etc. - Assist in preparation and management of the annual Operations Budget and recommend capital budgets for 1-year, 5-year and long-range repairs and improvements.
- Review and approve all stadium-related purchases and contracts.
- Work with Director, Facility Operations on comprehensive preventative maintenance and CMMS systems.
o Assist with building operating systems and winterization of the facility. - Aid in the management of facility projects including but not limited to:
Lifecycle management, upgrades and or improvements of spaces and/or equipment, signage alterations, seat upgrades, etc. - Provide any operational support and staff needed for special events, game days, or hospitality functions.
- Organize and secure all stadium storage areas.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Senior Director, Stadium Operations manages subordinate supervisors in any of the following departments: Facility Operations, Housekeeping, and Stadium Operations. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units; Carries out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience
• Five (5) – seven (7) years of experience in Facility and/or Stadium Operations
• Experience leading and managing facility and stadium operations team
• Proven success working in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and ability to balance ever-changing priorities.
• Being a team player who proactively assists in the management of daily operations, including when tasks fall outside of the standard job description.
• Requires ability to work flexible and extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours
• Certified Facility Manager preferred or willing to obtain with in first year
