Description

Columbus Crew is seeking a Manager, Match Presentation & Promotions to build matchday marketing programs while executing a first-class match experience. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Events & Grassroots Marketing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee all presentation elements of matchday including theme night creation, matchday plaza & stadium activations and all on field elements
  • Build matchday programs to promote club initiatives, events, and ticket sales across multiple channels in support of overall strategic marketing plan 
  • Collaborate and create the theme night calendar that includes giveaways, entertainment moments, and Corporate Partnership title nights
  • Develop all matchday broadcast reads and coordinate with PR/Communications on engaging broadcast features
  • Collaborate with Corporate Partnerships & Ticket Sales Department to drive revenue and create programs that create value
  • Closely collaborate with the Supporter Groups to continue to enhance the matchday environment
  • Oversee the development of halftime promotions that fulfill partner contracts, appeal to partners and are engaging for fans
  • Work with Partnership Marketing team to increase revenue opportunities while supporting the club and brand goals and initiatives
  • Work with ticket sales team on goals, revenue, ticket initiatives, promotional packages, and single game ticket strategy to maximize ROI
  • Assist with the planning and activation of the community plaza for both matchdays and non-matchdays
  • Assist with invoicing and reconciliation process on behalf of marketing department
  • Other duties as assigned

Required skills, experience & abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Marketing or related fields
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience working with game presentation, experience Major League Soccer is a plus
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude with keen eye for attention to detail
  • Creative thinker and strategist with an ability to stay organized and manage multiple projects with various deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a large group of staff and/or volunteers
  • Able to work home matches and other select events
  • Able to some additional evenings, weekends and events
