Position Overview:
Chicago Fire Football Club is seeking a dedicated First Team Administrator to join our team full time, fixed-term position beginning on August 2026 and ending on December 2026. You will be responsible for all aspects of team operations including but not limited to staff and player communication, budgeting, player registration, & trip planning. We are searching for someone with the ability to work independently and in a team/collaborative work environment as required along with strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and planning skills. The First Team Administrator will report to the General Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
- Organize & coordinate all aspects of home game operations for the First Team (meals, credentials, match coordination meetings, locker room countdowns, etc) and communicate accordingly
- Budget for, organize, & coordinate all aspects of MLS and all other relevant competitions’ (US Open Cup, Leagues Cup, etc) away trip travel which includes organizing hotels, buses, flights, credentials, DMR, etc and communicate accordingly
- Budget for, organize, & coordinate all aspects of First Team preseason trips
- Manage daily / weekly / monthly communication via Teamworks with players and staff regarding training & travel schedules & important information as needed
- Support with execution of team events and First Team family events
- Manage player registrations for all competitions to adhere to all rules & regulations
- Collaborate with Second Team and Academy team operations staff to organize player movement across teams
- Collaborate with the Federations for players call-ups
- Support management of First Team operations budget in collaboration with the General Manager
- Completion of other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Team Operations or a similar role
- Strong proven experience in Team Operations/Administration
- Conversational Spanish language fluency preferred
- Must display a strong work ethic and desire to build a career in professional sports
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Travel and ability to work weekends/flexible hours required
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, including all home games (or other work events) that fall on nights, weekends, and/or holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong proven experience in Team Operations/Administration
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills preferred
Compensation:
- This role offers a salary range of $75,000.00 - $82,500.00 annually (prorated over the duration of employment)
- Final salary is determined by carefully considering the applicant's background, experience, and qualifications. Base pay may vary significantly based on geographic location, job-specific knowledge, skills, and overall experience. This role is classified as Full-time, exempt.
- This role is bonus eligible based on club-wide goals.
