Position Overview: 
Chicago Fire FC is seeking a high-performing Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This role is designed for an analytically strong early-career professional who can contribute quickly and grow into a Senior Financial Analyst role within a short timeframe based on performance. Reporting to the FP&A leadership team, this individual will play a key role in financial reporting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial modeling, helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Club’s financial planning processes. The Analyst will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to analyze performance, support budgeting efforts, and deliver actionable insights that drive business decisions. This position offers strong exposure to senior leadership and is ideal for someone looking to accelerate their career in FP&A within a dynamic, fast-paced professional sports environment.
  
Job Responsibilities:
  • Review financial results and explain key drivers of change using analysis and basic modeling
  • Work with departments to build budgets and forecasts, helping shape assumptions and identify risks and opportunities
  • Prepare and present monthly financial reporting packages for senior leadership, highlighting key trends and business insights
  • Own and enhance operating cash flow forecasting and analysis, ensuring visibility into the organization’s financial position
  • Build and maintain financial models to support business planning and strategic initiatives
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial trends to provide data-driven recommendations
  • Support ongoing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and forecasting
  • Assist with ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed
 
Qualifications:
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • 2–3 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, accounting, or a related role
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
  • Proven ability to analyze data and translate findings into clear, actionable insights
  • Organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of key deliverables
Preferred
  • Experience in sports & entertainment, live events, or hospitality industries
  • Experience supporting forecasting and budgeting cycles
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite a plus)
  • Experience with data visualization tools

Compensation:
  • This role offers a salary range of 68,000.00 - 75,000.00
  • Final salary is determined by carefully considering the applicant's background, experience, and qualifications. Base pay may vary significantly based on geographic location, job-specific knowledge, skills, and overall experience. This role is classified as full-time, exempt
