POSITION SUMMARY:
A Community Activation Team (CAT) member is focused on building relationships, strengthening connections, and engaging local communities through active, place-based, or virtual initiatives. Successfully transition from passive community management to active participation, transforming residents from consumers into creators and stakeholders in their neighborhood or organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNTIONS:
- Actively participate in a wide range of community events, including local festivals, youth soccer tournaments, school visits, and charity events
- Transport and set up tables, tents, and promotional materials to and from events
- Interact with fans and event attendees in a friendly, approachable, and professional manner
- Distribute promotional materials, merchandise, and samples to event attendees
- Encourage event attendees to participate in team-related activities and promotionsExecute on-site contests, games, and giveaways
- Act as a brand ambassador for CFC, embodying team values and enthusiasm
- Collect and report valuable feedback and insights from event attendees
- Ensure the event space is clean, organized, and well-maintained
- Collaborate with fellow CAT Members to ensure a seamless event experience
- Assist with other duties needed to help drive the CFC Purpose, fulfill our Mission, foster our Vision
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in community outreach, sports marketing, or volunteering
- Passion for soccer, community building, and the Chattanooga community
- Outgoing, energetic personality with a desire to engage with diverse groups of people
- Strong interpersonal and public-facing communication skills
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Capacity to adapt to changing priorities and challenges
- Capability to represent the Club with professionalism, respect, and accountability
LICENSING AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Possess and maintain a current and valid driver’s license
Must have reliable vehicle for transportation during events
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have or be willing to complete SafeSport training within seven (7) days of start date
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
Maintain legally required employment eligility
English speaking required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Medium - Heavy lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 25 pounds frequently. Bending, stretching, and reaching requires. Some sitting and climbing, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended time.
Physical Environment: This position is routinely exposed to external elements which include heat/cold, wet/humid, dry/arid and extreme weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:
Department: Business Operations
Work Schedule: Monday – Sunday. Hours will vary due to work assignment. Must be able to work flexible hours which may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Employment Status: Part-time / Seasonal (May 1 - July 31, 2026)
