Austin FC joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the League’s 27th club in January 2019. Austin FC officially began competing in MLS in April 2021, and in the 2025 season qualified for the MLS Cup Playoffs while also reaching and hosting the final of the U.S. Open Cup. Austin FC plays its home matches at Q2 Stadium, a 100% privately financed, state-of-the-art stadium which earned certification as a zero-waste venue in 2024. Austin FC sold out all 88 MLS home matches it played at Q2 Stadium during its first five seasons in the league, including three home MLS Cup Playoff matches.
Austin FC is currently looking for a creative and dedicated Social Media Manager to be a key contributor in continuing to grow Austin FC owned and operated social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Twitch, WhatsApp and YouTube, as well as its auxiliary channels. The person who takes this role will work in collaboration with internal stakeholders and will assist in the creation of compelling content for all Club social channels. This position will have the ability to shoot, edit, write copy, and create content for Austin FC social channels and monitor daily conversations on social media to help nourish the Austin FC community while exercising the Austin FC brand guidelines and language.
This position will be based in Austin, TX and the role will be in-person at Austin FC’s business office and out of the St. David’s Performance Center based on scheduling needs.

You Will:
· Assist in executing the Austin FC social strategy across all owned social media platforms; and
· Capture content at Austin FC matches, practices, and additional Club activations as assigned; and
· Create and proof copy for Austin FC & Austin FC II owned social media channels; and
· Work closely with the Austin FC design team to update creative social templates; and
· Assist in the management of live stream content on social channels; and
· Assist the creative & content team with day-to-day content calendar management; and
· Assist with social analytics and recapping social campaigns; and
· Collaborate with departments across the business to meet company goals while executing the social strategy; and
· Creatively think about ways in which we can push the Club’s social brand forward in unique and interesting ways; and
· Assist in the development of junior staff members and interns; and
· Travel to some away matches to execute the matchday coverage. Coordinate with photographers and videographers to capture and deliver content for social channels.
You Have:
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Experience using Sprout or other social media analytics platforms
· Experience working with a brand’s social media accounts and knowledge in social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Twitch, WhatsApp, and YouTube
· English language proficiency is essential and Spanish or bilingual skills are a plus
· Knowledge with other creative skills like photography, motion graphics, and videography is a plus
· Knowledge of soccer is a plus
· Experience with live content production is a plus
· Knowledge in Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and or Illustrator, and Premiere Pro
