Austin FC joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the League’s 27th club in January 2019. Austin FC officially began competing in MLS in April 2021, and in the 2025 season qualified for the MLS Cup Playoffs while also reaching and hosting the final of the U.S. Open Cup. Austin FC plays its home matches at Q2 Stadium, a 100% privately financed, state-of-the-art stadium which earned certification as a zero-waste venue in 2024. Austin FC sold out all 88 MLS home matches it played at Q2 Stadium during its first five seasons in the league, including three home MLS Cup Playoff matches.
Austin FC is actively seeking an intern to join the Social Media Department for the 2026 season. In this internship, you will gain valuable experience in the day-to-day responsibilities of a high performing content team and gain exposure on select matchday duties. This is an opportunity to contribute to Austin FC’s Social Media Department as well as a great way to advance your career.
Are You Someone That:

You Will:
· Learn about the daily and matchday responsibilities of supporting Austin FC’s Social Media department including Austin FC’s First Team, Austin FC II, and Austin FC Academy; and
· Work with Austin FC Social Media Department to learn about up-to-date metrics on Austin FC social media accounts, to better identify trends, strong points and weak points in content strategy; and
· Learn to navigate the third-party support software to help support social media efforts; and
· Assist Austin FC Social Media staff with on-site support for various events involving the 4ATX Foundation, Q2 Stadium, the Austin FC Community Impact and Partnerships teams.
You Have:
· Time management skills
· Understanding of popular social media platforms, and proficiency in using them. Experience with large brands and audiences is a plus
· Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite and possess excellent written and oral communication skills
· Great attention to detail and an ability to stay organized
· Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new programs, apps and systems
· Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus. Additional languages – even better

· Hours are flexible and will include evenings and weekends as well as some in-office hours.
