Austin FC joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the League’s 27th club in January 2019. Austin FC officially began competing in MLS in April 2021, and in the 2025 season qualified for the MLS Cup Playoffs while also reaching and hosting the final of the U.S. Open Cup. Austin FC plays its home matches at Q2 Stadium, a 100% privately financed, state-of-the-art stadium which earned certification as a zero-waste venue in 2024. Austin FC sold out all 88 MLS home matches it played at Q2 Stadium during its first five seasons in the league, including three home MLS Cup Playoff matches.

The Match Experience department is responsible for creating and executing an elite live event experience for all Austin FC matches and events at Q2 Stadium. Austin FC is are actively seeking a Match Experience Intern to support and learn within the  department while helping oversee the live execution of match presentation elements and in-venue entertainment logistics.

·        Has some experience managing live entertainment cues, timing, and coordination between departments?
·        Enjoys collaborating with talent, crew, and production teams to deliver seamless in-stadium experiences?

You Will:
·        Provide production and operational support to the Match Experience department during all Austin FC home matches; and
·        Support, serve, and grow as a Pitch Manager for Austin FC home matches and Q2 Stadium events (USSF, Friendly Matches, League’s Cup, etc); and
·        Assist in leading on-field and tunnel coordination of all entertainment elements, including player walkouts, national anthem, DJs, partnership activations, special presentations; and
·        Learn to assist and direct talent and performers, ensuring readiness and adherence to timing within the Run of Show; and
·        Support and act as producer/show caller for Austin FC II home matches at Parmer Field; and
·        Assist with 3rd party vendors in pre-production planning and participate in rehearsals and matchday production meetings to ensure all stakeholders are aligned for both 1st and 2nd teams; and
·        Prepare matchday -1 activities such as checking rosters, submitting credential requests, submitting parking request, ensuring custom jerseys are completed and received, and entertainment locker rooms are set; and
·        Participate in pre-production and matchday learning sessions to grow knowledge of run-of-show development and cue management; and
·        Oversee entertainment submissions and updating database; and
·        Assist manager with other duties as they are assigned.

You Have:
·        1–2 years of collegiate experience in live sports entertainment, event production, or stage management is a plus
·        Availability and willingness to work most, if not all, events and matches at Q2 and Parmer Field, across a calendar year
·        Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
·        Ability to stay calm and problem-solve in high-pressure live environments
·        Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking and time management abilities
·        Knowledge of soccer and the MLS matchday environment preferred
·        Ability to work in outside environment in different weather
·        Experience with control room equipment like Ross Xpression, Evertz Dream Catcher, and Audio Consoles is a plus
·        Experience using Microsoft Office and Adobe Products such as After Effects and Premiere Pro is preferred
·        English and/or Spanish language proficiency is essential and Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus. Additional languages – even better

·        Hours are variable and can easily include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and some holidays in addition to some office hours. Ideally this internship would include some office hours and event hours.
·        This is a paid part-time internship designed to offer hands-on learning within a professional live event production environment. Students should ideally be able to gain academic credit for their participation.
