Facility Operations/Event Staff: Maintenance

Austin FC joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the League’s 27th club in January 2019. In June 2021, Austin FC began play in the new, 100% privately financed, $260 million, state-of-the-art Q2 Stadium.
Austin FC is actively seeking a Facility Coordinator to assist with the maintenance and upkeep of Q2 Stadium and the St. David’s Performance Center and ensure that it is operating up to Austin FC standards as well as identify areas for greater efficiency. 
This unique role to help build a major league property and establish the core identity of a major league brand from the earliest stages is a once-in-a-lifetime and career-defining opportunity. The position is based in Austin, TX. You Will:
St. David’s Performance Center
  • Perform daily, monthly, quarterly and annual rounds/inspections; and
  • Assist in supervision of third party vendors as it relates to facility needs, including but not limited to maintenance projects, MEP preventive maintenance, general repairs while ensuring a safe work environment and compliance with OSHA and other work site safety standards; and
  • Assist with the scheduling, supervision, and/or performance of on-site basic repairs and maintenance including HVAC, appliances, water heaters, electrical, plumbing, seating, general upkeep, painting, etc.; and
  • Responsible for maintaining the professional appearances of equipment and maintenance spaces; and
  • Assist in the management of the CMMS and the detailed records of projects, PM, and other repairs and maintenance related items; and
  • Create and respond to work orders generated in the CMMS in a timely manner; and
  • Regularly review, identify, report, and execute on potential opportunities for improvements in the areas of safety, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction; and 
  • Assist in the development and management of standard operations procedures (SOP) and general documented guidelines for cross-functional process improvements; and
  • Support and manage events at St. David’s Performance Center as requested or necessary; and 
  • Follow up on additional projects as requested and ensure that these meet deadlines. 

Q2 Stadium
  • Assist in performing event day -1, event day, and post event rounds; and
  • Assist in general upkeep, maintenance, and installation including but not limited to painting, carpentry, ceiling repairs, plumbing, various small installations (YV mounts, picture frames), drywall patching, furniture assembly, etc.; and
  • Responsible for maintaining the professional appearances of equipment and maintenance spaces; and
  • Support the Event Services Team in general set up and tear down activities as it relates to events and meetings; and
  • Support and manage events and projects at Q2 Stadium as requested or necessary.

You Have:
  • High School diploma or GED certificate required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sports Management, Facility Management or related field preferred 
  • Technical certifications are a plus
  • Experience in facility coordination, project management, or real estate is preferred
  • Strong project management experience with an ability to evaluate and re-prioritize rapidly
  • Experience within the sports and/or entertainment industry preferred
  • English language proficiency is essential and Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus
  • Forklift experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, knowledge of current technologies and commitment to remain up to date with industry best practices
